This time last week I would have been happy to hold that money, but after seeing a young UY side serve it up to TB I am now not so sure. Given the ease that BFC dispensed with the Eagles two weeks ago, the form line is hard to ignore....

If I was not involved, 1.70 on B would be enticing.

Got this from the advertiser today (city edition).......

Port Adelaide Magpies do not expect Byron Pickett to line up for them this year. After yesterdays heartbreaking 2 poit loss to North coach Tim Giniver said "Pickett was not part of Ports future" and "We wont be seeing Byron"

and this from PAMagpies website....

The PAMFC wish to advsie that Byron Pickett is currently spending time with his ill father and for the moment family is his priority.
The club fully supprts Byron and his family in this situation.
Club CEO Matthew Richardson said" At this point in time it is unlikely Byron will play for us this season, We are commited to playing the junior players progressing through our academy.......etc.....

Looks like it is true gentleman.... the Chop will be playing :axe:

In case anyone doesnt know our favourite and arguably most respected poster WestCoastPanther is currently going through a very difficult stage in his life and the SAFooty world is right behind you buddy..... The situaution has boiled down to this.... He has to choose between a 'pay rise' or 'giving up SAFooty' and is currently going through a footySA detox..... we wish him well in his endevours in what ever path he chooses in life and has the full support of all the team at SAFooty.
I am thinking of organizing a fundraiser to cover WCP's payrise so we can keep him on the site..... any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
It will be a sad day come Friday when we have not read his round 1 in depth preview and I vow that when we have the minute silence before the match on Friday we take a moment to think about not only the ANZACs but also the ledgendary panther.
If you see him at the footy give him a friendly wave and let him know he has your support.
I am sure he will work out in the future that his home is SAFooty and this is where he belongs...... RIP buddy!
