IF we're talking Adam Fisher, definitely not the case, got offered some, but was more impressed with the club and the people running it. That's coming from feedback to the committee members.
Block is a good friend of C. Rogers so it was a case of Block was coming to Barker and Fisher was happy to join him. Fitness test tomorrow night so will find out if there are anymore recruits.

Not a rumour anymore, signed on the weekend.
Chris Shee should be signed tonight for TB also and a Blackwood onballer who is a good mate with Shee will be signing next week. Anyone know the Woods player who is good friends with Shee?

The new Onkas coach is a joke, he will destroy that club like the last 2 he coached at, all he will do is sit on his arse and yell and screem at the umpires while he smokes on the bench, as soon as the team looses he will be the first to blame the men in white. good luck for the season Onkas you will need a lot of it.

Without going back through it I assume that the Hahndorf rumour is true. Would have loved to talk to him but $$$$ would be far too much.

Surely the club hierachy check out the credentials & past records before they appoint coaches.
I thought President Chris Tanner was a bit smarter than that and would have all the bases covered in this area or was this the only applicant?
Even so, homework is very important.

Easy to sit behind a keyboard and talk shite you clearly no nothing about ghost the proof will be how they go this season so all judgements should remain until the season proper I would have thought. I saw an attack on this guy in your first ever post. Did he not rate you as a player or are you just a bitter twisted individual with an axe to grind.?????

Dave Evans is the new coach at Onka's.

Blokes from Southern I've spoken too suggest Ghost is right on the money. Don't the senior players have any involvement in a coach's appointment? Sure it's a committee decision but surely they would consult senior players. If any player had a problem with the appointment then that was their chance to speak up.

A bit defensive their fly

Instead of slinging shite on the guy how about you offer some constructive criticism???

I have played against Dave and also seen a few trainings with him in charge.

My opinion is that Dave has a very good understanding of the game and is very passionate about getting his players up and ready for any match. He seems to have a very good understanding of where players are suited and what needs to be done to attack the opposition.

Thje negatives of Dave are that he does seem to rant and rave a fair bit from the sideline which in a game can come across A) Very passionate or B) Very very unprofessional. I tend to think the later but some may disagree.

All in all I think it will be very interesting to see how he goes at onkas as with their last coach I feel he could be in for a short stay as there are way too many politics in one football club.....or just too many Tanners ;)

Just a little note fly, mount barker had three coaching applicants have an interview with 4 of our senior players as well as the operations sub committee. Their responses are put forward to the general committee and the final decision is made from that. Players have a say but not the final word. Food for thought...

Maybe at Barker JB, but heard that the interview process is not the same at Lofty where Coco says who he wants and is the only interviewer. Maybe consults with R. Penny but what he says go's.

Just a note seeking some clarrification from the Birdwood faithful.

What I have heard alarms me...

Josh Davis - Houghton Dist
Callum Boobs Bubner - Pt Lincon (work)
Dave Bradbrook - (Canberra) working
Ryan Oz Austin - Canada (work)
Luke Highfield - Payneham (hates TJ)
Justin J.C. Highfield - followed brother
Paul Magic Sumner - TTG
Rielly Harrison - Adelaide Uni / Payneham
Andrew Crinion - Paynham (mates out there)
Ben Acland - Paynaham
Shannon Purcell - Possibly Payneham
Tom Matoga - training at Hope Valley
Josh McGuire - Going with mates if most of his side leaves
Daniel Smith - possible move to Maccy
Big Robbie Rochley - Possibly back to Vic

Now this is a huge chunk of players to leave a side. Now a few are leaving for work, but I have heard a lot are sick of Recruits having their arses kissed most nights of the week form all and sundry and basically a coaching staff who are completely concerned with an A grade list rather than success with a total squad. Sniggers about some players abilities round corners! It seems the depth at The roosters is Zilcho!!! Many of the names mentioned have played A grade and 3 names have been Captains of the Club!
