Am I missing something or have Ironbank and Blackwood installed better lighting at their ovals?

What concerns me in particular is a fixture in June between Ironbank and Mt Lofty, scheduled as a twilight game at Ironbank.

2 problems with this:

1. Are Ironbanks lights up to it?
2. It will be as cold as a withces tit in June and probably bucketing down too.

Blackwood are also down for a couple of twilight game, one in May.

Is that big Robbie?

Robbie is a big lad, great size and presence on the field. Pretty decent in the ruck and ok around the field, but a very valuable player because of his size and presence.
Good work ethic and nice fella, but did have a few injury concerns near the end of the year.

hope this helps

Yeah DA, Blackwood did an upgrade a couple of years ago and have played a few games - very good lights. Apparently Ironbank are in the process of putting in new lighting if I'm not mistaken...

Lights are up and working. Pretty sure their the same as both Blackwood and Lofty so should be good! We played a 20 20 under them using a red ball and it was no worries whatsoever!

Not a fan , personally - B/Wood light towers are quite low and as such the lights tend to shine more in your line of vision - towers need to be taller - Lofty's are good and hope other new ventures - Hahndorf and Bankers - are too!!

That may be a condition imposed by the council to negate "spillage" of light that may upset the local neighbours. It is always a consideration nowadays and part of the criteria for installing new lighting at ovals.

Lights at IB are the same as B/Wood, just that they have 6 towers whereas we only need 4 for the smaller oval. Have played cricket on Blackwood's a couple of times and they are super.

I don't think the height of the lights will be a problem (they are same height as B/Woods). They are positined better than our old lights anyway.

Can't say I'm a fan of too many night games. A couple a year is enough. Gets bloody cold and the kitchen doesn't seem to stay open till we've finished. Will have to raid the rubbish for half eaten schnitzels.

HAHA clearly you no nothing about lighting then. Blackwood would have some of the best lights going around, from what ive heard from a mate whos a sports lighting guru there awesome lights they just need to get the cherry picker out and have them pointed correctly!!

AmFOOTY - what's the difference between going through the bins after a night game as to Thursday night selections or the standard day game. Are you still cooking in the kitchen with the plastic cover over the cook top. Haha. Night games would be a great opportunity to get in a gorilla costume and get stuck in a tree I reckon - Tight lines big fella! ;)

Congratulations Silky on the rookie opportunity at the Crows. Of all the Hills candidates of recent times it shows that a good echo elbow is important.
