Yeah, September is finally here, you bewty.

I am off to have a look at the Kangarilla vs Torrens Valley game at Blackwood, reckon it would be a pretty good game.

It started off as a good game, goal for goal and some really good passages of play as bothsides settled in. Kangarilla looked really fit and quick, eager to use the vast expance of Windy Hill while Torrens Valley seemed to be looking for a more phisical style of game. All that can be said of the first quarter is that it was a good display of finals footy, with the score 4.1 each at the first break. Then all of a sudden Kangarilla kick 6 goal to TV's 1 for the second quarter and the game is just about all over there and then. The Kangarilla on ballers ran riot and made Torrens Valley look fat and old in 25 minutes of footy. By half way through the third quarter Kangarilla were 8 to 9 goals infront and doing it with ease but I reckon they just took the pedal off for five minutes as Torrens Valley kicked a couple of goals before 3Qtr time. But by that time it was over and there wasn't much atmosphere at the ground so I left. I believe Kangarilla won by over 8 goals.

It all went to script like a bad porno actually, started off with a lot of promise and a heap of action but by half way through you realise you have seen it all before and in the end the chick gets done over good and proper so you turn it of early out of bordom

Well done to the Demons ... once again exposed the Dogs in the cauldron of finals footy.
Sets up another enthralling chapter of the Uraidla v Mt Lofty clashes over 2006. Reckon it's just the second final for a number of the Devils, Uri a bit battle hardened by a few campaigns, including last year's flag of course. Now is the time for the real big boys to come out and play!! Bring it on ... a few scores to be settled as well. Good to see the B-grade boys get home as well, over the celebrated senior selection at Ironbank ... old heds ... Red, Gav, Carts, rattling on six goals in the final term to get the win ... off for a home final against Blackwood I reckon
Thanks to the HFL for the luvely surface on Saturday, needed a bucket and spade at the Mt Barker beach

Onkas - In the words of the great Trevor Marmalade - puppies are not just for Christmas....they're usually good until September!!!

The doggies had their chances in the third quarter, but hung themselves with poor finishing in front of goal. I think they'll be too good for Blackwood, but stranger things have happened than Onkas out in stright sets? That peanut with the horn gave everyone the shites - give it a rest you knob!

Devils v Demons will be another cracker and on neutral turf should be the GF preview. Go you Devils!

Geez my comment on the changerooms opened a can of worms ! Obviously the Dev's have been winning if you are once again getting warm showers their, i don't remember to many.

I was aiming more at the fact that they are deliberately reducing the size of their changerooms, others are stuck with what they have. No one is going to invest big dollars in building better visitors changerooms, but come on people hot showers for us blokes with the old weary bones.

Hows Kersbrook beating Meadows by 4 points, the dogs out in straight sets. Well coached pack at Kersbrook, as their list is pretty shallow.

Is that right? Meadows gone? Bugger me. Good game?
I was surprised that Uris took care of Onkas so easily. They've got the wood on them.
Can't see Blackwood beating Onkas though.
And look out, Lofty uris is going to be a cracker! Again.

Barker oval definetly looked a lot like the Sahara on Saturday. I am sure there were a couple of extra goals kicked but everyone missed them due to the sandstorms during the 2nd and 3rd quarters!

Glad I was not in the rain at Mt Barker, but the sand storms?

Where are we going for the finals this week?

Right...earlier was a hiccup out at Balhannah.
And no team has been great at Uraidla either, but Lofty went out there and took the points.
The oval will not be a factor.
Lofty's week off will be very handy, and a few to come back.

True that. However, it's been a history breaking year for the Devils. Expect that to continue.

Trust me - being down the bottom for 15 years, and getting the shite kicked out of you for 29 games straight is not easily forgotten. The Devils will be ready to go on Saturday. We dont care where we have to play or who, we are going to have a crack.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this years Devils are aware of the opportunity in their lap, and will not let this chance slip.

Yeh it has been a good year for the devils
anyone here bout the junior colts under 14s... went down to Hahndorf by 1 point after been 5 goals ahead. There was hard tackling and big goals and a few good marks. The Lofty boys were very emotional after the game which showed how much they wanted it and how hard they had worked all year for it. Good effort considering they came last with only 1 win in 2005

big week of footy this week lads. backing the devils in another great game i think both teams are changed from last time so could be interesting. wasnt too convinced about uris win on sat, some fairly scrappy footy played on a windy day on a crappy oval.. given that onkas were beatn by the better team last week i think they wont have too much trouble being the better team this week. the hahndorf blackwood game was fairly uninteresting. definately think lobethal wouldve beaten both teams.. oh well. funny though that blackwood are able to win a final this year when their team last year that was 10 times better went out in straight sets, footy's a funny game. looking forward to balhannah oval this week, see ya there.
