For those who might want to know:

Jake McMillan, Matt Solly and Brock Grivell
Combined service for the boys will be held on the Mount Compass Oval 1pm Friday 5th February.
In lieu of flowers there looks to be donation boxes.

With all teams up and running now, how does your oval surface look?
Goolwa I have seen and looks as good as ever, with the endless supply of water being mowed weekly for cricket it lookes a dream to train on and I am sure LF's body appreciates the surface.
Victor is average at best and cant wait for the recycled water to be plumbed up to the new irrigation system installed but that wont be happeneing untill after the 2010 season so its not going to be a nice flat and lush surface for the coming season.
Pt Elliot looks as good as Goolwa and should be used by someone for pre-season. (if allowed)

Mudlark park is a treat, with around 30 training last night and another couple of new faces we were put through one tough session. Hardest preseason we have had. Rumour has it of a couple of guns coming our way, deal should be complete within 2 to3 weeks.

Haydyn Wilson is currently starring in a photoshoot with Trent Hentschel and Scott Welsh at AAMI Stadium/AFC for Fielders, key sponsorship partner with all clubs - GPEFC, AFC & WWTFC. Keep an eye out in the Advertiser, Messengers and on TV tonight.

Great to see a major company like Fielders backing AFL, SANFL and local clubs.

Have many clubs got their trial games sorted yet?

Langhorne Creek will be playing against Mt Barker on 20 March and Murray Bridge Ramblers on 27 March.

The Maggies have been approached by Meningie and Echunga but i don't believe anything has been confirmed as yet due to Goolwa oval out of action every Saturday and Sunday of cricket finals and Meningie's oval undergoing renovation.

I'm sure Limb could organise the famous FINNIS cricket paddock be available for your footy trials if you're short of an oval damian. ;)

I heard Hooper was going back to the Bay also, not sure if anything has been finalised. Definitley got some talent and only young. Had a bit of a light frame but tallish and can take a grab and kick a goal or two if his head is in it. Then you just don't want him to get his head to full of it shoeboy.....then again he'd prob fit in well at the shoe ;)

Excuse me?? Who??

Miegels and McCard to Willunga; they just keep getting stronger!! Little Brett Miegel played state footy as a junior and has been one of the consistant performers for Marion. There departure from Marion will hurt the Rams!!
