I heard a little whisper at the beginning of the year that a certain Hahndorf player was being groomed to take over as coach next year. :-k

Not a fuzzy headed ex Sturt/North Adelaide player who sits on the outside of packs?

this could be the whisper i heard ;)

Can somebody please tell me why the BEST ON GROUND medals in a grand final are named mostly after umpires??? how ridiculous is that!!! surely they would name it after a great player of the league.. Rob Clothier Medal, Randall Pearce Medal, someone who was a legend of HFL football, instead its named after umpires!

ive also heard a rumour hahndorf have approached a former richmond and crows player, who also captained south adelaide recently to be there coach next year, apparently very keen as well...

Who knows Silky and who really cares! Most blokes who win them have lost them somewhere by Sunday morning! And while on umpires, instead of picking their best umpires for the finals they should pick the worst, at least that might make the day a bit more interesting. Was great day for Uri's with wins in A's, B's and C's though.

How about Woody's post regarding the Roosters win in the Senior Colts. Must have been made as the siren was sounding.

Silky, saying Hahndorf have apporached Jason Torney and he is keen would have sufficed. Hahndorf would be hoping he would be a playing coach you would think, still in very reasonable nick.

Clay Sampson also qualifies under the criteria Silky listed.

Good luck Sunday too, SS :)

thats a fair point, but still naming a fairly high honor after a umpire seems ridiculous.

The Best on ground in the A grade is named after Alec Parker who was Secretary of the hills for some 20 years and at no stage was an umpire

Having a medal named after Neville Clarke is ridiculous

Silky,

suf·fice (s-fs)
v. suf·ficed, suf·fic·ing, suf·fic·es
v.intr.
1. To meet present needs or requirements; be sufficient: These rations will suffice until next week.
2. To be equal to a specified task; be capable: No words will suffice to convey my grief.

I meant sufficed.

However I did mean approached, not apporached, that one was a typo.

Worst coach in SA is a pretty broad descriptor. This could be any one from Mark Williams to Garry Hughes.

From what I've heard it's that Lynch fella from Onkas. The fella that everyone was getting stuck into at the start of the season. Would have thought that Bridgewater would finally wake up.

I agree,I can't believe another club have been sucked in by Lynch
I sent a comment to Jeff pistola (courier) that onka's appointment of him should have been in the comic section of the courier
Well Bridgy's will be in the deaths, if they weren't dead already they will be now
