Should the Bays sincerely be looking at a slide down the ladder?

Thats some HUGE outs if they're all accurate!

Another 'rumour' I've heard is that Barnes and Gary Karpany are two more outs...?

Saunders to jervois
Graham to jervois
Simmons to jervois?

Mostly correct there TLM. I am led to believe:  ;)
Ryan, Boyd, Skrypec, Williams to Kaniva
Hodge, Whatman, Graham to Jervois (yet Whatman was suposedly retiring!)
Ewer - off to a sunnier state maybe
C Simmons to Mypolonga (with T Hooper from EB)
Saunders - hasn't run a game out in years...is someone going to use points and $ on that? (Jervois?)

BTW - not all of these have left Victor of their own accord. We have had a core group of recruits at the club for quite a while who have served the club well but ultimately hasn't really lead to much success and getting 'guns' Williams, Skrypec and Ewer didn't exactly give us the boost we all expected this year.

However, heard a rumor that an ex-coach had a hand in the move of players to Jervois. Bit unsavory if true.

More than happy to take Iljesen & Brown off you if you want a total clean out FOD ;)

So you come in to the GSFL as an average player, you play like an average player, then leave as a sought after highly paid commodity?

Sense a bit of animosity from u towards these players fod??
I would have thought , especially to Hodgey that you and your club wish him all the best and are extremely greatful for his service, not too often recruits serve a club the way he has for yours!
Vh need stability.

No Vulcan, no animosity at all. Hodgey was at VH for 6 years I reckon which is a great stint for a recruit - esp one that would have been fielding ridiculous offers every year. I know he wanted a premiership with us. He is one of the most skillful and exciting players I've ever seen at this level - everyone loved to watch him play.

Perhaps I'm disappointed with things not going as well as they should - esp this year. The side showed that we could beat anyone, but just scraped into the 5. Every one named there is a damn good player on their day - I think the main trouble was getting consistency out of them all so the side could really build towards something.

At the 93 premiership reunion game this year, one of the most respected GSFL footballers of the last 20 years was so disgusted in the performance dished up by some of the recruits, he confronted one and told him if he ever put in a performance like that he would have been too embarrassed to take the match payment.

That is what you get from Brown and Iljcesen - leadership, passion and 100% every week - pride in their performance.

Glad the wheels are falling off other clubs, the dogs whom are always true underdogs are training well at the kennel.
Even better to get a few autographs on paper.
Here's hoping for an injury free year.
premierships is what it is all about

So whats new LuvsFooty, players come in to all leagues and get big$$$$$$$. Some leave as average players and end up getting picked up by clubs in 'whatever' league and get more big$$$$$$$ because if they were getting it elsewhere they must be worth it. Their teammates are the best judges. Maybe they should be the recruiters. :D

So what did go down at VH in regards to Hodge leaving? I heard he is not happy with the club along the lines of "I will never return to VH after what they did"...

Dunno P32. Last I heard it was a tough decision for him to leave. The club let him go despite the fact he was given he was given the captaincy and signed for 2 years. I thought it was reasonably amicable considering.
