imho Semmler was a pretty good player for MR during the year who became very very good in the finals....if we are looking at last year in isolation, then no player from outside the grandfinalists could be considered. My three in order would be Semmler, Wes B and Chris Brooks.

Easy enough to discard Bluesy, but if he got fit and applied himself he has it all. Very, very disappointing last year and hopefully with Marty pushing him this year I'll keep that post for later......

Last year against Tasmans we were down by 14 points at the final break, Joel went to FF and kicked 4 to take the game away from them and we won running away. He was unstoppable in that quarter. Consistency is the key, which would come with fitness. Potential.....

You would have been at the Rangers game, but he stood Clemmo who followed him back there as he'd stood him all day......

Not having a go at Joel. Couldn't find where the question became "who is potentially the best player" thats all.
We all have players at our club who could potentially be a gun player if..<<insert any number of excuses>>.......... I just wouldn't mention them in the same context as MJ, WB or CS...

high profile? who are you talking about? i didn't know they had any!

Any phone numbers for your HOT niece HS? :tonqe:

even though the Toddy boys won the grandy (i still am trying to come to grips with this!) i still believe they are only the 4th best side in lincoln.
A result like this always makes you think if there is a better way of deciding the premier especially on the quality deck of centenary! i don't know how we can avoid this, i haven't thought too much about it, maybe something like a saturday and sunday match with the first 50 over game played on centenary and then the next 50 over game played at poole with the side that batted 1st in the saturday game batting 2nd in the sunday game. and if a tie at 1 game all the deciding grand final match will be battled out in a 20/20 match at ravendale under lights on a wednesday night! (to not interfere with footy training commitments) :-k 8)
just thought i would throw that in to get some feedback on what people think?

anyway as im a fair sportman that loves playing my sport hard i want to congratulate the toddy boys on winning the grandy against the odds! and commiserations to the SES boys who were arguably the best team and measuring stick all year. well done toddies! =D>

as cricket has now finished, back to the footy....how did your recruiting meeting go the other night HS? is it true that mr cameron asked for the cheque book back as cheques were starting to bounce? maybe a tip for the future you could expertiment with your dream team on afl.com first and maybe get practice on getting your budget right for the players you require!
Or maybe you could just do what tumby bay do and leave it to your high profile business men to do under the table deals outa their own pockets!

Nah that wouldn't happen at Tumby leo  they don't pay any of their
players just ask mighty bomber he'll tell you that

And having said that panther, we rate JH VERY highly. I know he also played under some difficulties last year. When fit he is a big mobile guy who can take a mark and kicks like a mule....hard to match up on.

Marty Tregonning's mate is the bloke who is running from Adelaide to Lincoln with the footy to raise money for cancer. $40 a head with free piss and a meal for 3 hours isn't bad value, Rod Jameson guest speaking. Money raised goes to a worthy cause that has probably affected us all or someone we know in one way or another. It's on Friday 11th April so get your tables together!!

The dig at the Tumby Bay FC was totally unwarranted Leonidis and Dermie. Your clubs would give anything to have the integrity and pride we have at our football club.
Mighty Bomber will put you in your place and deservedly so.
You cant buy success it is in your heart and comes from hard work. Maybe other clubs should look at how we look after our juniors and take note.

Considering Dermie is a Ranger and the success rate that club has had in junior grades as well as juniors making the transition to A grade football, best you know a little more before your first post is so high and mighty there GG.... 8)

As for Leo....
