in the 2nd qtr hahndorf must of played a belter considering te outs they had Bartamucci, Nicholas, stephens, Raymond lomas, not a bad effort to come that close to winning

Uraidla still favs for the flag but watch out for the sleeping devils when the sun comes out and the spring is in the air. By the way where are all the posters who earlier in the year were talking up the mighty roosters and raiders. Saw that gun under 17 birdwood team got beat by loby yesterday.

Interesting yes. Wouldnt both bridgies and birdy seem dissapointed with the results this year, especially for the amount of $$$ both clubs spent on gun recruits? Thoughts?

i cant speak for bridgewater, but good on them for having a go at bringing in some quality recruits...
as for birdwood. first of all, we still dont spend money in the same ballpark as Hahndorf, blackwood and uraidla. But the recruits birdwood did bring in have been huge quality, and even though the year hasnt finished the way we wouldve liked, there's no doubt that birdwood have taken some big steps this year... and are certainly building a platform that we hope to build on for next year. we took it right up to uraidla, hahndorf and mt.lofty early in the year, and knocked off blackwood... which is a big step up from our first 2 years in central. we have an excellent crop of young locals who are growing in their A grade experience... scott friend, brett ancell, owen cannon, tom matters...
true we didnt make finals, which is of course always the aim... but definitely not dissapointed with the year.

How do u have any idea of what the other clubs are spending mate? There is no way u can compare what birdwod is spending against what other clubs are spending because you wouldnt have a clue!
