Has anyone heard anything on Mt Compass? Rumour has it late in the season they ran into a bit ov trouble off the field I wounder if this is correct and what effect it will have on them with players/coaches in 08. This could be a hard one to get answers on due to Mt Compass being a bit behind in modern day living and internet is yet to be discovered.

What sort of trouble off the field?
Marcus getting paid too much? :)

Wouldnt be surprised if you see a couple of the compass boys having a run with the panthers in the pre season. Need a couple more taller players and a few more to rotate through the midfield is they are to compete with the sides above them next year so if these problems are indeed true they could be in a bit of trouble. Hope not as there last 2 seasons have been encouraging.

I heard very similar, you would remember leading upto the finals in 07 they started to really struggle and a few key players were missing, rumour has it the club was unable to hand some pay cheques out!

Fact of the matter is Compass will have to continue to pay there key players more than most clubs, whats the attraction at compass?so money talks. As for the locals not liking the coach bad luck! sounds like those locals would'nt know hard work if it hit them in the face.Steve would be the most successful coach there for a while so whats there problem they finally reliase that there not good enough to play A grade when the teams going well,so they prefer the team to be down the bottom so they get a game......grow up local boys and get behind ya coach !

I heard about the unrest at compass as well which may have affected their finals campaign, but Micky Conlon is right, the local lads need to get over it, work harder and earn the A grade spot. Theres no point rolling up evry week just knowing you can step in to the A's, that helps no one!

worth having a look at the Div 1 forum, the rumours are suggesting that bassani applied for the Seaton job! The rumour has been denied but its interesting to see how much this bloke is talked about and how much he is sledged!

LF your really are a tosser!

Now first of all we all know your a Saints B'Grader, we also know that rather than produce quality football, which you clearly have no ability to do, you prefer to sit on here and talk crap.

Lindsay Bassani has not applied nor has he been interviewed to coach Seaton Ramblers.

Maybe you should worry about how your recruiting is going since your clearly an expert, another tough year - hope no more players have to miss games with broken jaws etc...

Nasty talk FM. How is that recruiting going anyway LF? Last I heard those Wilson boys will be staying at Goody Saints. Turns out its a pretty hard club to leave... understandably, given their recent history.

This would be the exact reason why Bass is so dis liked by most people involved in football.
Is that a threat that the bay boys will be out looking to break jaws ov saints players? One can only hope bays President, club members and Sponsers see what is introduced to their club by employing a clear idiot into the top job. This would also be a reason why a very good quality list of players were un able to put one good game of football together as a team, local players are mates with opposition sides and play to win the ball and the game, were as Bass and co are out to look pretty, tough and like hero's.
At least LF will admit that he is not a top quality footballer but in country clubs you need to have club men that will do a job for free and not go from club to club and one league to another looking for $$$ and were they could LOOK good and succesfull!
Do you think Bass has ever heard the word LOYALTY?

What was so good about this list of players he had?

Are they overrated or is our comp underrated?

Their list had some very quality players on it with proven success on big stages. I am not saying they should have won a flag but sides like Myponga and Strath should not have been above them.
The GSFL has a very good reputation as being a quality league and with Willunga being so domminant and the Creeks domminating minor rounds i think other sides in the comp could be underated a little bit.

By the way FM that pm had nothing in it?

I never siad I was a quality player FM. I just enjoy having a kick and talking footy. As you will see in the Div 1 forum I said that the rumour had been denied I just thought it was of some interest. As for a Bay player breaking jaws, what a stupid thing to say especially when you have already decalred on here that you are Swainy! the question is how would the bay boys go toe to toe? And the answer we will never find out but be wary if your 30 meters off the ball.

B J the GSFL comp is a high standard comp , the top teams would go strong in all other leagues . The bottom teams would struggle but most of them are still better than other teams in other comps . Bays did have a good list but you cant expect that many new players to gel that quick . As far as a reference to people breaking jaws thats just not on .
