Willy Serle a very good player, who I think has been underated by Longies for a while, he is easily a 80 goal forward who are hard to get, just need to use him correctly. His second efforts and chasing a particular highlight.
Everything is fair!

If Willy could kick straight consistently he'd be a 100 goal forward easily. He certainly has the potential.
Just look at when Matty Oliver was playing for Balak. He bagged 100 goals most years.

Knowing a couple of United boys I very much doubt that Willy is underated at the club. You are right about his second efforts and my opinion is that perhaps it is other clubs who underate Willy, particularly his work ethic.

Pretty simple statement OneNine to say he is an 80 goal a year player when you consider he kicked 76 last year and missed 2 through suspension.

It would appear given his request for a clearance, that Willy doesnt want to play at united this year. Does the hierachy have any thoughts on that creature?

Not sure why you would ask me swampy as to the heirachy's thoughts at United of all places :? bit strange really.
I would assume like everyone else on his site that he is a wanted player by United given his clearance was refused.

Sounds like the Maggies are doing some good recruiting. Hats off to your recruiting manager!

Have been very lucky, many of these guys have just walked in and have been someones mates which is always handy. This year for instance of the 5 new blokes only 1 was actively "recruited", the rst came either from the west coast and are mates of the monties or gawler way. I think the lack of height might be a real factor this year though for the pies, loosing CK was a major blow.
Time will tell gents, llok forward to your company next week men. Unitl then all the very best with this weeks trials.

Hey DW, not sure if you know the answer to this one, but i run it by you anyways, Where so the Sunday Mail get the info for their Country footy section?

Are the clubs indepepently asked for their input or does a league rep from each league contribute on their behalf?

It's just that it's reall good, but how accurate is it? can we assume that it is all correct?

The Sunday Mail lift out responses were provided by each of the leagues, who sourced their info from the clubs (at least that's what happened in the Riverland).

I would think it's mostly accurate - although I noticed a heck of a lot of names spelt wrong and a few other little things. But they are very minor in the context of such a great effort to cover the heart and soul of country footy.

Why'd you ask mate?

oh, it's just that some of the information on us wasn't accurate, i don't know if that was just that is was resourced before our information changed, no problems though, i think it's great.

Had a kick and catch on the old stomping ground yesterday, oval probably one of the best condition ovals in the state, not a dead patch on it, good to catch up with a few old team mates and have a bit of fun.

Would've been great fun I bet. One of the few things I miss about living in the city is playing out there.

BTW - our oval is in fantastic nick. Let's hope it lasts.

Only Derek Fredriechs, new publican's son at Royal Hotel, previously at Langhorne Creek in GSFL. Import from last year, Brady Scott, who only played 2 games before injury is back so is a virtual new recruit.

Out are the big baked bean head, Benny Lamond, to Freeling and a couple of young blokes plus Freddy Walker injured.
