Pinnaroo v Peake

Pinnaroo continue to stumble when they should be building towards the finals. Chad & Wade Nickolls provide strength in ruck & up forward. Mark Gum is a strong marking forward & Alex Keogh is a good young goal kicker. Matt Standley can play at either end of the ground & Heath Boseley is also versatile. Sunyl Vogt is vital for Pinnaroo if they are to have any impact in the finals.
Peake continue to be competitive with recruits Mark Boothey, Shaun Holland & Tim Aloisi regularly amongst the best players. Brendan Pett & Gareth Diprose are good ball winners, either in the midfield or defence. Jamie Downs provides a target in the goal square.
Peake won easily last time they met, but Pinnaroo should bounce back & win.

Should read Shaun Holland and Tim Aloisi only have to put a Peake jumper on to be in the best players!

Meet your Federal Member of Parliament in the Mallee…

People in the Murray Mallee towns of Peake, Geranium, Lameroo and Pinnaroo will this Thursday have the chance to meet with their local Member for Barker, Patrick Secker MP.

Mr Secker will spend a short amount of time at a prominent location in each of the towns, to give constituents the opportunity to chat with their local Member first-hand.

“Hopefully, it will also give the people from these towns to chance to ask me some questions, and give them an understanding of what has been achieved by this Federal Government in my last three terms in office, and what can be achieved into the future in the event that the Howard Government is re-elected,” he said.

Mr Secker said representing an electorate spanning more than 64 thousand square kilometres in size and made up of a diverse mix of production industries including beef and dairy cattle, sheep, fishing, cropping, forestry, timber, paper products, wine, fresh and dried fruit, vegetables, transport and tourism, was no easy challenge. But he said he remained committed to the opinion that he has been charged with the task of representing one of the best seats in the country and he was looking forward to continuing in the role into the future.

“People often ask me why I am a politician and whether I like the job, and I have to say that I love being in a position where I can help people, listen to their ideas and have some influence on policy-making, as well as getting grants for my electorate of Barker,” Mr Secker said.

“I am really looking forward to meeting with constituents in Peake, Geranium, Lameroo and Pinnaroo and encourage as many to come along as possible.”

Here we go :

BDT hit top form last week and easily disposed of Lameroo in their Mallee Football League clash.
Shane Binns is a huge bonus at full forward after deciding to play the rest of the year at home instead of West Adelaide.

Greg Nunan has had an influence in each of the matches he has played and Aaron Freeman is back after an interrupted season.

Josh, Lachlan and Clint Richardson always play well with great support from Luke Remfry and Mark Vandeleur.

Murrayville won against Karoonda last week, but will need to play better in the lead up to the finals.

The attack is well served by Shannon Wyatt, Clayton Sporn, Michael O'Malley and Drew "Overated Footballer in the whole league" Crane.

They receive plenty of supply from Damien Fenoughty, who is in sensational form, Kevin Wyatt, Rian Crane and Luke Kirkbright.

James Dixon and Will Dalwood will be welcome returns to bolster the ruck division.

BDT are building for an assault on the finals and can win a close match.

Lameroo v Pinnaroo

Lameroo are without inspirational leader Rodney Maynard for about a month due to injury.

Craig Zerk and David Philbey are also injured, leaving Lameroo's defence severely depleted.

Ben Venning is in a purple patch with 14 goals from centre half forward in the last two weeks and Ryan Walker is making the most of every opportunity up forward.

Matt Ridgway can play anywhere and Shaun Walker is a class act. Brad Zerk is a hard working midfielder, but Dan Wohling has been struggling to find his best form in recent weeks.

A great effort by Pinnaroo last week over Peake came after a dismal effort against BDT the week before.

Sunyl Vogt, Leith Dabinett and Nick Westphalen win plenty of ball in the midfield and "Westy" also kicked three goals last week in a different role.

Paul Pitkin was a focal point with seven goals last week, but they need Mark Gum back at full forward to be a real threat.

Lameroo can reverse last week's result and defeat Pinnaroo.

Karoonda v Peake

The battle at the bottom end of the ladder will probably decide who finishes on the bottom.

Karoonda have been playing well in patches but not sustaining the pressure for long enough.

Luke Hocking is back to his best form and Justin Maloney has been amongst the best every week.

Jason Morris has shown his true form in the last two matches, taking control in ruck.

Adrian Gregory is a hard working centre half forward and Lucas Neumann is having a consistent year.

The Paralowie connection has been good for Peake.

Mark "Superstar" Boothey, Tim Aloisi, Shaun "Micheal Hussey" Holland and Paul Fitzgerald have all made solid contributions this year.

Kieran Jaensch, Gareth "Hair hasnt moved since 1962"Diprose and Joe White have appreciated the support from the recruits and Jamie and Toby "Dosent move from teh Goalsquare" Downs provide forward targets.

Karoonda can win their third match of the season.
