Good news for pongy!! How good would it be to come fresh out of senior colts (with a flag), to then be coached by an AFL Premiership player?...Exciting times

Just because he has played and coached at SANFL level doesn't mean he is a good coach!! However, his status should excite the club and help attract new players. Please note: I'm not saying he can't coach, Just that his experience doesn't automatically mean he can......
Has anyone seen Sammy G, the KING of Teringie.

I don't think Clay's decision (if indeed it is signed & sealed, I've heard different) is based on the footy side of the Muddies. More to do with the netball club, and his family.

To be honest, I reckon the A grade netball girls would give the A grade football girls a real run for thier money.

Just hope they don't shit on another one.....

OK, Welldone Myponga!

Fantastic bloke, and very good footy head. Very interested to see how he and the rest of the lads up there adjust to eachother.

GSFL really does seem to be an attractive propersition for alot of players/coaches, really healthy for the comp!!

Carn the Larks, Hey was Sargie in the mix for the top job up there?

Haha i like the change of attitude Jingles.
No Sarge was never in the mix but only coz he has no interest in coaching A Grade footy at the moment. No doubt if he wanted the job he would've been in contention.
Is a great coach though as he showed with the 17's last year and is in charge of them again this year.

Jolly good luck to him, I am sure he will get the respect and fair treatment he deserves, as distinct from what he got from his previous employer.

Great result for Pongy and also the League, BUT I hope (and i'm sure he will) he draws some 'old' and 'new' players to the club. It would be a tragedy for Pongy if this does not work. Good luck to them and I look forward to reading the 'rumours' signings etc over the upcoming months! :)

on the pongy job. im just glad that after giving princi the flick that they didnt go backwards. it would have been a shame if they had appointed a 'rent a coach' type of unit, would have undone any progress from last yr. appointing clay sampson as coach is a big step forward for pongy. all the younger players would be chomping at the bit to get out and impress the new coach.

So what are Princi and Stevenson doing next year? They are players that Pongy cant afford to lose.

Would have thought that Victor would be chasing past player and ex Langhorne Creek coach Michael Simmons for the top job. Be absolutely astounded if he didnt end up coaching the Roos.

I understand that Myponga had a fair crack at Simmo a couple of weeks back and he knocked them back. A bit to draw him to Victor and it would not surprise anyone.
Langhornes Coach...No Idea
Encounter Bay Coach...???
