and yes OS i should clarify having a crack is going in hard AT THE FOOTY

what a load of s**t, I played and was on the field all day and the game was played in good spirits - if we were were running around being thugs hitting people behind play it would have led to a scuffle at some point you would think. The closest thing to a scuffle was when I lifted one of your blokes of one of our kids and he was going on about settling down!! He seemed to miss the point where he was pushing a kids face into the ground.
Maybe the guys that made these "reports" to you should spend more time working out how to win a game instead of crap like that.

Bit of pot calling black there sexy as you seem to have started this with your allegations and a bit of a whinge yourself... given that, I'm pretty sure BOM is entitled to throw forward an opposing view, rather than allowing your second hand accounts to go out there un-challenged.

I'm yet to see an unsavoury act in the indies, although I acknowledge one appears to have occurred on the weekend in another game, that's not to say guys don't go in hard, but its generally all been hard and fair.

yeah fair call TC.
i retract my precious statement and replace it with this
the reason no retaliation would have occured is because the 3 blokes who dont put up with that sort of crap werent playing that day.
if we are going to sling pointless crap (spend more time working out how to win a game instead of crap like that) perhaps BSR should do more to keep their league alive
as i said, these are reports from blokes ive played a lot of footy with and who i trust, they also arent the sort of blokes to chase after someone after the event.
in regards to your comment regarding our blokes having a crack at your kids, that is something i really dont condone and i always make a point of stamping it out if it does occur. was your kid wearing 2 red armbands so he could be identified easier? and was he being lippy at all? a couple of clubs/individuals have been abusing the rule a bit putting armbands on "kids" who are bigger than most of us, these "kids then get a bit lippy and get involved in push and shoves which obviously riles up us blokes and makes some of them go over the top.
i apologise if that is the case.

Yep, I thought you had a couple missing of your senior guys missing from first round ....

FYI, while I am not closely involved, the people at BSR that worked to save the old league did more than anyone could have expected to keep that league alive, they worked their arses off for it, but it wasn't going to survive without other clubs coming in. Having a comp with 3 clubs just wasnt going to happen.

whufc, in indys we have a "rule" not sure if its actually a rule or just a verbal understanding however it goes something like this
colts who play a grade wear a red armband and are supposed to be protected from any of the hard tackles, spoils etc. the rule was introduced to allow kids who have the skill to play seniors but not the body.

does anyone else see my 6 pack in that photo and are those 2 kids?! the one on the left looks like he thinks im a joke, the one on the right is twice my size!

cheap shot about somthing you obviously know very little about. as TC pointed out people at BSR worked very hard to keep that comp alive in the end it was just not worth it.
we had one kid wearing an arm band but this is not who I was refering too. We have a number of young blokes that play for us week in week out so dont wear the bands as they are "senior players" so they are fair targets however I dont think its needed for blokes twice their size and age to be going any further than a fair tackle or bump. I actually didnt intend this to be a whinge as the incident was actually very minor - I just wanted to point out that in a game of footy there is crap that goes on on both sides of the fence, and the way you made it sound we were running around all day trying to get in some cheap shots. All sides are guilty at times of questionable incident but to put us in the same basket as what sounded to be a very serious incident in the other game was taking it a bit far, we definetly have no thugs in our side. our guys will go in hard and stick up for each other if needed but we dont go out looking to hurt people.
like I said I actually thought the game was played in good spirits I was surprised to read what these blokes had told you, and to make it sound like we are known for this is surprising also as i was told a few weeks back by a player of another side that they love playing us cause we are ood blokes - doesnt sond like a team of snipers to me.

yes the comment about you guys winning was pointless and a bit of a cheap shot i apolagise for that, was just fishing for a response i guess!! : )

im gonna go on with it cause i can
i in no way intended to label your side as a bunch of thugs or put you in the same basket as the bloke who was reported on the w.e
if thats how it came across i apologise. ive had no major probs with BSR except for that old bloke i was standing not talking to me
i guess i was more asking if this sort of thing did go on in this game and the broader comp and if anyone had noticed more of it creeping in over the last 1-3 years
i love the indy competition as most of the indy blokes will testify. i think its a great place to go in hard then get up and have a laugh. im only trying to protect that

and youre right BOM it was a cheap shot as was your comment, i was just fishing aswell
