Horgs would have been one of the best and most respected players on the EP. He was obviously very competitive on the footy field but you don't become a great player if you are not competitive.

He may have had a few quiet words to opposition players and umpires on the field but never anything over the top and I have seen a couple of people on this forum do a lot worst.

As for when things aren't going his way, I can only ever recall him playing in 2 losing games at Waybacks and at half time in one of those games he gave the players the biggest spray of their lives. It got the message across though as they went on to win the next 5 games and the flag.

The Toddy boys were quite lenient with the calling of wides during our innings, & so it was aggreed that we would do the same, as you do... we had one of our younger players umpiring at one end, (I think for his 1st time), while i was at square leg. Anyway a wide was called, & words were exchanged between the two.
But then to continually say for the next 3 overs or so that we're bunch of f 'n' c's, "always have been, & always will be", was pretty ordinary form i thought...

mmmm, cove07 the fact that the umpire was a 16YO kid and one of his students in a game that had no meaning before finals represents pretty ordinary form as stated by the umpire at the other end bystander. Who possibly should have put Horgan on report.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

I think it's fairly poor form to dispute the umpires in any case, but I don't think the fact that it was one of his students is relevant in any way.

It does when you tell them to carry on the image of the school after hours then you behave like that sas, but then again I remember you at school and you had very little respect for teachers.

Paint is still peeling in the visitors rooms at MP after that one. Is part of WFC folklore...season defining.

Orchy in form but stiffy always hard to get away on the high quality deck at centenary. Eags how is the line up? Bystander getting any decent players back for this week? Any news on the toddies lads?

On the deck at centenary i think it was pretty ordinary before chrissy but cant comment after but have heard it hasn't got any better. My old man told me that they are in the process of gettting a really good ride on roller thats gona cost a bit. This would have to make it heaps better surely. Does anyone know when this is happening?

Not sure on our final lineup yet. Centenary deck played pretty well. Fair bit of sideways movement early but the Waybacks bowlers bowled pretty good areas. Was certainly tough work batting but at least it was consistently pretty slow rather than two-paced.

They are looking to purchase a new roller ... probably around the 12k mark. They got a 4k sponsorship from Skilled which is supposed to help fund this. While having a new roller is great, if you don't put the hours in at the right times, then no matter how heavy the roller is, it's not going to improve the pitch.

Unless Neil Diamond or Kylie are on the program he wouldn't be interested.

Was very kind how the organisers waited for Tasmans to finish their training before trying to arrange the photo. Who's running it, the community or the TFC???.. :?

Very happy not to be a drug and alcohol friendly club...

I also heard some EU players who don’t have the natural fitness of Frase are a tad worried they’ll be going into the season way underdone!!
