Any confirmation on moore and feast? Are both playing? Reckon if both dont play, it could be the end for the creeks.

you would think that feast would be playing as Sturts game is in sunday and he wouldnt have any commitments on saturday other than putting the guernsey on for the creek and claiming his pay check at the end of the day.
Ben moore would have to be crippled to not be out there, especially after missing the last game against the demons. I think that the creek will put him in even if he isnt 100% fit

Just been for a walk over Myponga oval. People everywhere getting ready for tomorrow. Looks in great condition, just hope the wind abates a little.

Great to read in the times that crowd numbers are 20% up on last year and with a number of different team represented over the next 2 weeks i would expect bumper crowds at myponga and mclarens. A positive for all ovals holding a final rather than 1 or 2 ovals.

Langhorne Creek WON club of the year based on performances over ALL grades i believe.
Finished top 2 of the 'A' & 'B' grade and Senior colts.
NONE of them made the Grand Final
Played a total of 7 finals between them for 1 win. :Hangman: :Hangman:
:-k
What happened Limb?

Dont know about the tears mate but was a good game to watch,i thought Straths ability to get numbers around the contest and win the clearences was fantastic, thier leg speed worried Langhorns all day. From a spectators point of view i thought it was a great game to watch,2 quality sides going at it.I reckon Strath will take it right up to Willunga,i know Willunga have had the week of and deserve to be favourites with the quality players they have but Strath are well coached (as is Willunga ) and Simmons will have them fresh enough to have a real crack.Should be a great game.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Apologies but i didn't have a budget with me. these are just some of my thoughts. I had not seen either team play much this year.

Well i got there just before quarter time and Strath had first use of breeze which was blowing to non clubrooms end but probably more towards pocket where bowling club is.

In general Strath's speed and better ball use won it for them. just cleaner with their skills and they were able to harrass Creeks players into mistakes. Creeks didn't seem to be working too well as a team..

Crucially Strath converted their shots on goal at crucial times of game whereas Langhorne Creek. couldn't. EG third quarter Creeks had first two shots on goal both set shots but missed both.. would have made a big difference to rest of quarter.

the wind while still blowing had dropped a bit from morning and by half way through third quarter had even started to swing around and start to head towards clubroom wing/flank.

Feast didn't do much in my opinion. took a couple of marks on last line of defence, kicked a goal in last quarter yet his taps seemed ineffectual. Strath were able to nullify Creeks midfielders so while Feast tapped ball well it was straight to creek player who was already under pressure. i felt Feast needed to punch the ball clear of the pack a bit more than what he did. but hey I'm just former hack back pocket players so there is no cred in comments!

What i did notice was Strath had plenty of speed which i think most regular watchers would already know about but they have a couple of beautiful long kicking midfielders who covered 50m easily. One goal by no 22? (sorry i didn't have a budget) was beauty. Creeks had been making a bit of a charge in last quarter and strath steadied with a goal and then after the bounce eventually the ball made it's way out onto Strath forward flank (near entrance to ground) where a lot of their supporters had set up camp. No 22? picked up the ball and you could here the strath supporters yelling out "goal goal" and sure enough from about 45-50m he just launched a beautiful kick on the run and split the middle and the game was all over well and truly.

Nope, he didn't.

On both A's & B's, the Creek just weren't good enough. Never really looked in both games, Strath just looked like they wanted it more. The Strath A's looked very good, polished and are timing their run to perfection. Willunga will have a game in their hands this week.

Pretty shattering day all up, what with the Crows also coughing up the game Sat night!
