Damien Stevens is obviously injured, Michael Bratton and Andrew Bachmann are not available, Jamahl Liddle and Pete Smith

News from Loxton North camp is Geordie Franks and Nathan Brown have both been selected.
Michael Arnold is captain and Berri's Adam Beauchamp is vice captain.

On another topic, what are Bennett's early chances for the Whillas? He has received five best on grounds for the club
and has been a stand-out on field.

Brown and Franks are both playing which is going to be a good opportunity for them.
Dissapointing to only see 10-15 players out at training last night with the U17's asked to follow on from their earlier training to make numbers in the senior squad. I still feel there should be a suspension rule for any player who has been selected in the squad that does not want to take part in the game without a legitimate reason. I know their is a 5hr drive involved this year but still who doesnt want to represent the league?

While I agree it is not a good turnout to have 15 players out at training, I'm not sure the drive down can be included as an excuse - by the way it isn't a 5 hour drive from most R/Land towns it would be 3.5 - 4 hours from the Central towns and 4 1/2 hours from Waikerie.
Until someone is actually hit with a suspension the players will continue to make themselves unavailable.

Stun, gunna have a crack here. The game and society has changed. The RFL dont own the players. Its their choice if they want to play or not just like it is every saturday. What is in it for the players to play rep footy on a long weekend? Most blokes dont get paid and will never play at a higher level so there is nothing to gain and everything to lose if they get injured playing for a composite team which has no meaning to them.

It doesn't happen at the highest level (AFL) where guys could be paid handsomely. The reason; there is so much more at stake at club level. Its only a matter of time before interleague footy is gone. There might be a by law but it would open up a can of worms if they tried to enforce it. What would happen if a guy won the mail medal and was suspended for non interleague representation? No league would have the balls to enforce it as it happens in every league at this time of year and I have never heard of anyone getting suspended. Let the guys play who want to play and forget the rest, forcing someone to do something is never going to work.

As much as i have said what i thought and it is the total opposite, I must agree with what you have just said Slapsy. I feel that is the reason why some players chose not to play in the Interleague games as club footy is extremely more important than what Rep Footy is. I think I will just have to agree to disagree with the outcome as it wont get changed and that is the reason why and i support that as well.

Ricciuto went on to talk about another football club, the club of his youth. Growing up on the Murray riverland of South Australia Ricciuto played for his local team Wakerie, a club that has gone out of existence along with its league.

Better pack up Magpies, Wilson has put the line through your club. And the LEAGUE!

Caroline Wilson is known to make a blunder or two.
The other week she reported former Port player Roger Delaney had been asked
to resign from the Power board amid the failed coup at Alberton.
Too bad Delaney is not the Port Adelaide Football Club Director and in fact,
does not even live in Adelaide.
He lives on the Sunshine Coast and works for an advertising agency.
Caroline Wilson apparently rang to apologise.
