Do some back reading Silky. Nicholson from Kersbrook got a late call up from Roger cos the Central blokes WON'T play! No point using Matthew Cooper as your 2nd Ruckman. ;) Jacques from TV will lead the Rucks and the ex Magpie should do well.

i might be dumb but im not stupid, obviously cooper isnt gonna be second ruck and that is not even what i ment

McGahey will hold his own against Cooper everyday of the week...

and mcgahey will hold his own against coops, u r on a different planet, mcgahey 300 reserves games compared to a 2 time SANFL premiership player 100+ games, and probably in 2006 should have won the jack oatey.. mcgahey is good, but compared to cooper, not in a billion years

There is no Div 1 or Div 2 in Hills football. It's called Central and Country League. If there were divisions that would imply some sort of promotion and relegation system. Although the Central Division has far more depth of quality players the fact is that a true Hills Association side would probably have more country players then central players in the best 18.

Hills won all 3 games

Under 17s was a chracker of a game..all square at 3/4 time but hills home by a couple.

Seniors: Hills 15 g BLG 10g

Goals Cooper ( 2 in first term) Twomey 3, Gordon 2/3

Best: I thought Jacques was brilliant in ruck ( a credit to him), Magaraey was busy, cooper had his moments esp in the first term, Twomey looked dangerous ( after he arrived late!)

I dont know who the HFl gave as best.

Hills too big, too strong, too much experience... Coach James didnt have to say much at last change..the Hills guys knew what was required and they did it well.

Great for Hills to back as a force in rep footy.
BLG had some bad injuries and finished with no bench but battled on well.

How many players will be missing form next weeks round of HFl central..1 from Mt Barker, a couple form Brigi and Lofty?? Will be very interesting with Lofty only 1 player!!!

Hills country supplied all the big men... Jacques,nIcholson, Gardiner, twoomey..add, pearce and clayton ...and country div supplied a 1/3 of the squad.. who said the standard in country was lacking!!!!

Congratulations to the Hills Side for their 3 wins yesterday. Hopefully the Hills Country boys can make it a quadrella over KI.

Good to see the Hills Country guys figure in the best and goalkickers yesterday. They must have been able to cope with the association standard after playing in the 'slow' Div 2 envirnonment. Torrens Valley's Jacques BOG and who said we needed the Hills Central Ruckmen? Brad Pearce and Nathan Twomey dangerous with 3 goals a piece to show they have the talent to match it on the big stage. No doubt if Luke Slattery, Trent Thorpe, Paul and Brett James were available there would have been more Hills Country reps in the side. Think Hills did a good thing by appointing an AFL legend as coach, and hopefully they can keep him IF there is a return bout in the Barossa next year.

Who said the country div guys were not going to be up to pace? With Jaques BOG and supported well in ruck by Nicholson, Pearce with three goals off his wing and probably should of slotted in top 5 best, Twomeny was our best forward even after surfing all morning and rocking up late, Clayton was brilliant when moved to half back and Gardnier held his own in defence all day.

congrats to the Hills boys for a good win!

looking at the line up, that is a very good Hills Side.

Congrats to Borough for being selected as captain as well. A great honour indeed.

Hopefully the boys all enjoyed it playing together. there are plenty of ex SANFL players amongst that group, and it is always good to play together at a higher standard.

It could be the start of a better association standard for the next few years!

I noticed that Holeproof himself, Ross Christie got in the best players for barossa. He is a good mate of mine and played some footy at the Eagles. Did he ruck or did he play at CHB?

How Jaques got BOG is beyond me. Wouldnt be surprised if BL&GFL best was one of their ruckman, because they won every tap. P magarey best IMO, lucky he only managed to just scrape in there.
