Very important couple of weeks for Waikerie.
If they drop 1 of their games against either Berri or Renmark, will really struggle to make finals I reckon.
Personally though, I reckon they'll come good.

That would be an awesome headline. Right there.

Once Renmark get all their players back that are out injured at the moment they might surprise a few sides

I wouldnt write Waikerie off just yet, its a long season. They were 2-5 in 2001 and went on to win it, they have had a fair amount of injuries and unavailabilities to start the year but are looking to get some guys back after the bye.

Renmark didn't show a thing against us but I was amazed how poor Ryan Bennett had to ruck 100% of the game!! He put in an amazing effort but I can't see (even with the Rovers injuries) how leaving him there will be good for his or his teams progress.

Let's just hope now that the mighty Roos can flog the Demons this week :D

Good to see Scott Lewis get a mention in the Pioneer today. He was a notible omission in the Riverland Weekly article on local lads playing SANFL.
He's an absolute gun.

He wont play in in Ruck when/if the injured talls come back

They were going to mention him, but his name creeped over into the space they have reserved for advertising, so they omitted it.

I reckon he slips under the radar in general when people talk about our local football exports.

Maybe they could have found room near the back next to the "Dandy Warhols" plaing in Adelaide article, there wasn't any advertising justifying that piece of vital info ;)

Stupid thing is, I've been thinking about doing a yarn on him since prior to the season starting.
He's a great story. A shot at Westies, back to Loxton North, a shot at Glenelg and then to one of the Clare clubs before heading back to the Eagles and blitzing.
A nice bloke to boot.
