Havent posted for a bit been pretty busy, was good to catch up with some of the ep boys last week and get on it with them. Pity they didn't have a bit more success at the carnival. Whilst on the topic of cricket i have been keeping a close eye on the scores and it seems that as predicted Souths are in top form as always after the christmas break and the charlton boys are finding it though at the business end of the year. If memory serves me correct they have only taken 3 wickets or so in the last 2 matches and got absolutely spanked and only have a b grade bowling attack that just isnt upto it. From all reports back home the talk is Tod river are very confident in polishing off the platter the charlton attack will be dishing up in the first final. SES and a full strength lincoln south are light years ahead of the rest and it would be unjust if these 2 teams didn't play off in the grandy.

Great to see some local ep boys doing well at Port. Most of the boys are really happy with how they are progressing except for one who is just lagging a bit at the moment in the fitness stakes haha! Harder seems to be the surprise packet of the bunch who is excelling earlier than expected. hes surprised this year with his strong body and tuff play.

Whitetips your naked run down the street will be worth seeing! a couple injuries your way and we all know your lack of depth will be tested....for the sake of everybodys well being and eyes we hope this isnt the case haha! and just to let everybody know the real reason for eyre uniteds late start to training it is because the coach hasnt got time until he has finished organising this 'one night stand' JJJ event lol!

A ranger supporter pointed out to me that they have only 6 home games this season compared to tasmans 10 and wern't happy. We have looked after the rangers for 20 years out there and as soon as they dont get 8 or 9 home games they are calling the office

So is the draw out yet? I would like to think due consideration was put into this years draw keeping in mind Bostons only got one minor round game at Centenary last year.

Was the only reason we lost that final....

2007 Program shows the BFC had 2 games at Centenary and 7 games at Poole. The Centenary games were R1 and R6 Vs LS.

I havent seen you at umpires training yet bystander? Is Gary's training a bit tough for you? I heard Tasmans cant keep up with Gary's training of them.
If anyone is looking to umpire we are desperatly short sand the pay is good and fitness is good

WCP's look at the key recruits to PLFL

Bostons - Rhys Marsh, recruited from North Clare. Tom Edmonds has labelled him the Rolls Royce having seen him play for the last few seasons. Quality midfielder that has spent underage time with the Eagles in Adelaide.

Souths - Dylan Dunn, back home from Pt Magpies. Extremely talented young player who kicked a lot of goals for Ports u/19's. Souths may need him in the midfield this year bit wherever he plays he will go well.

Marble Range - Darren Francis, from the SE somewhere. A reported goal kicking machine who kicked 60 goals in about 8 games last year. Semmler rates him very highly.

Waybacks - The boys at the castle love to keep the brigde over the mote up this time of year with very little info escaping. I'm sure they have them lined up but I'll go with Clayton Millard who like Dunn has spent time with Port. Very tough inside player who is a ready made replacement for Horgan. Minya is also reported to be returning along with Dalton??????

Tasmans - Well I haven't heard of anyone new to the club!! They have a few u/17's coming up they will retain due to apprenticeships with KD.

Mallee Park - Who's the fox hat.......

Losses

Bostons - Dorza
Souths - Crouch
Marble Range - Rynne
Waybacks - Moore
Tasmans - Clements
Mallee - Wes Bilney

Feel free to add your thoughts

We have 6 recruits and Im glad you havent heard of them. Couple of losses but should more than cover them. 30 regularly on the track and a very posative vibe around the place. It would also be wise not to forget we were in second spot until the last mionor round in 2006. If you forget our injury ravaged 2007 we are right up there still, a grand final berth seems more than achievable with our list.
