Was at the Onkas v Uri game yesterday, and heard a couple of stories regarding Mt Lofty FC and a their inter-club squabbles. Can anyone from the Devils fill in the gaps ? When the Pres and the Footy Director are at loggerheads it doesn't sound good.

The informer wrote:Roosters in a comfortable win today by about 14 goals in the Pfieffer Sziller cup (or however you spell there names)! Kriegy walked away with the "Jenkin" medal.

I heard today that all player payments at Lobey had been stopped and that the president blasted the players and coach without the coach knowing beforehand. Doesn't seem like the way to build positivity and good feeling around the club... would just piss me off I'd think...

having said that i don't know exactly what happened. Anyone care to elaborate?

Silky, i would not count your chickens just yet!!!! its only one game of footy, and as we have seen this year, the comp is pretty even. I too was at the game and agree that Hahndorf were just too good. The umpiring was the most disgraceful display i have ever seen but i dont think it altered the result. Even when Hahndorf were on the receiving end of a good decision Matt Cooper still found a reason th whinge!!! On the other hand Bartimucci or what ever his name is, is an absolute star, does what he does with precision and grace, all while not batting an eyelid at the umps!!!!

On the topic of internal issues at Mt Lofty, doesnt all footy clubs have some sort of issues internally.
Paul Clements is an absolute legend, and ill think you will find that 99.9% of players, officials and volunteers love the bloke, but as im sure everyone is aware, to run a successful footy club, you cant keep everyone happy all the time.

Yeah, that's correct. I'm assuming Rooster's comment was tounge-in-cheek! :)

The umpires coach did that game didnt he? He was just praised (by some) in the country thread for his stance on Gumeracha, what happened this week?

i was just spinning shit as per usual.. lofty had a fair few out, hahndorf played pretty good footy, coops was down a bit on form, but bartemucci was amazing again, bishop was nearly impossible to contain, if only he could kick straight!!! umpiring was horrible, probably the worst ive ever seen without a doubt!

Hahndorf very good on the weekend. Very skillful and run forward hard on the turnover which caught us out a few times. Bartemucci a class above, he is the most damaging player in the comp right now. Definitely the team to beat, just infront of Uraidla form what I have seen so far (Gigney didn't play round one against us and I am sure they are better now than in round one). Lofty with plenty of work to do if they are going to get over the likes of these sides.
