I see his clearance has been denied twice, he played one game last year in the second's, i wonder if he is going to hang around for the rest of the year

I've heard that Josh Buchecker and Matt Leyson from Barmera are gone for the year, both are needing knee recon. Also sounds like West Adelaide are up to there old tricks again, asked Matty Leigh to play u/18 on the weekend with out informing Barmera,i hear Wildo was not very happy. Sounds like Centrals have more courtesy for clubs up here than Westies ever will.

Had heard same on Josh. Operation this week.
I was only 15 or so metres away when he went down.
Seemed like a fairly innocuous tackle, except for the fact he fell forward in the tackle and his knee jabbed into the ground.

He and Matty are big blows for the Roos.

Anyone know how Rhy's Duthie's injury is?
I was also fairly close to that one and it sounded ordinary.

Regarding the Riverland Weekly's preview, Was told that the footy preview was not bringing in any revenue so got cut. Disapointing really. Cant believe none of the papers in the riverland give any real space to the local footy. Other comps in other papers have 2/3 somtimes 4 page spreads on local footy then cricket in summer. With such a strong comp Riverland and Indies cant believe it gets no coverage.

I guess when you rely solely on advertising revenue you need the support of advertisers to help justify the content. I know in the years I was there no local businesses wanted to get behind it. Granted, it's been tough times in the Riv so perhaps when the economy recovers the experts may return. I know the lads enjoyed writing the footy but they've got no choice in this one.

Clearly you haven't read the Pioneer then BOM, because there is at least 4 pages across the 2 papers each week, with match reports, results, articles, previews and weekly teams.

I reckon the footy gets pretty good coverage. Damn sight better than the cricket anyway.

Sorry Baron if you look at my original post I was talking more about the websites than taditional papers so my reference to the other papers having lots is probably not really fair on u guys.
As I live out of the area I rely on the web sites to get info as the traditional papers arnt available here. This is why i was so disapointed with the Riverland weekly as they had their whole paper on their site so it was really easy to view.
If the story has already been writen and the previews done is there any reason they cant all be up loaded? I guess that wouldnt help u guys sell papers tho would it. maybe i need to plan more trips to the Blanchy road house : )
