Can't say i have any idea who the kid is so will not have an opinion on whether he is a deserved winner or not, but there are going to be players that aren't one of the top 10 in the competition that win the medal, it's just the way it works. It's about what catches the umpires eyes and sticks in their mind.

And I would imagine that taking strong grabs, breaking through lines and kicking long is a style that would get you a few votes.

dont think he would be that jealous, he already has a Medal under his belt.
well maybe he should respect the fact that 'umpires' make these decisions and shouldn't 'sound' that harsh to the individual award winner! I feel that 'bagging' an individual is very disappointing, degrading but most importantly DISRESPECTFUL to the individual!
