Does any one have any tips as to where i can find good footy previews for each round on line? Last season I looked at Rivernews, Murray Pioneer and Riverland Weekly websites which all had good previews/reports but im not finding much of this sort of thing at all this year.

looks like Barmera will be the team to beat this year. Loxton on the board with a big win over Renmark, will only get better as their big guys get fitter. Loxton North still around the mark, bit of a reality check this week. Waikerie back on track for top 2 finish. Berri well he we go again premiers 1 year shite the next, BC whats going on???. very interesting season ahead i reckon

I think the case for the Demons is just too many senior players out in one season. Flag or no flag last year, the lads who left, me included, generally did so due to employment or recruited my Centrals. Lol. The young team out there now is still handy enough, but when you go backwards one step, unable to recruit anyone for one reason or another while the other teams go forward one step, you're two steps behind all of a sudden. Patience with the young demons. They're only a handful of players from bottom to top again.

Lol. He's got balls of meat!

No, the money hasn't run out, change in committee with a few learning the new roles, a lot of talented kids playing, and let's be honest, they're hardly the Renmark of 2010. Like I said, three or four players from being flag contenders.
Late start in recruiting didn't help as the committee wasn't settled in time.

Loxton very impressive yesterday. Smith tore Renmark apart in the midfield before being awarded a tagger for the 2nd half who had no interest in getting the footy himself. Inkster was handy also, No.20 controlled the defence and Liddle was dangerous up forward. They'll only get better and might make another GF again. Renmark lacked quality big men, and Bennett looked like he wasn't at full stride, but was still classy when he touched the footy.

By all reports the game at Barmera was a cracker, ball movement was very quick from one end of the ground to the other, players from both sides were starting to cramp up towards the end, even the umpires said that it was one the quickest games that they had umpired in a long time

Spoke to a bloke who was at the game who hadn't been to much local footy in recent times and he was very impressed with the standard.

DARK KNIGHT wrote:looks like Barmera will be the team to beat this year.

They're only a handful of players from bottom to top again.

in other words the money has run out...

Money hasn't run out at all, it's just not being used. Make of that what you will. 3 games into the season and Berri could easily be 2-1, or at least 1-2, so lets not get too carried away.
Don't be scared. Now is not the time!
