Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

************BREAKING MASSIVE NEWS**************

You may need to be sitting down posters from clubs other than MR, this will hurt!!

Grub, bring MR into $1.01 please.

A certain 10 year player for Hawthorn, then the last couple with Central Districts including a premiership or two has signed with MR last night. Officials from MR flew to Adelaide last night and a deal was struck with pen hitting the paper.

Said player has bought a farm up the coast from Wangary and until now this has been very well concealed by the masters of recruiting out at the Gary.

Ok here it is......................................Luke McCabe!!

Still only 32 and is an absolute gun footballer, more than held his own in AFL ranks playing all 22 season games between 1998 - 2001. Had an AFL career spanning from 1995 - 2004 with a total of 134 games.

Returned to the Dogs in 2005 to claim a Premiership as well as a Jack Oatey Medal.

MR were said to be seething with the loss of Clayton Millard to Waybacks but I'm sure he has now more than be replaced.

Just what they need....

For what its worth, I heard about this a couple of months ago from a mate in Adelaide who knows Luke well. He believes that Luke is unlikely to play much footy here this year, but has the view to be playing regularly next year. He reckons that the lure of coaching MR in 2009 was of more interest to him.

Marble Range, not bad for a club that supposedly doesn't pay players. Maybe wcp could fill us in on the sign on fee?

Baah (pun intended), stranger things have happened on that final day in September. Fairly sure MR will be there but as the saying goes, anything can happen....

Fair midfield though with McCabe (he'll play I reckon) Parker, Thommo, Tokarski & Chad with Charman giving first use with the extreme height advantage.

As a member of the famous catering comittee, panther knows very well how planet wangary operates. Full credit to the rebels that they have not tipped the bucket on the process. Either that or Hully's photos of panther and the pig are indeed fact.....

You were a big advocate of the MRFC not paying players which we all knew wasnt true. Maybe you can now spill the beans now you have no alliance there. eg David McFarlane.

Thommo in the midfield WTF, I think Phil Menz could move faster than him these days. He is on his last legs
