Justin McConnell has been appointed as player/coach of North Gambier for 2010. Recently retired from League football with the bays. The guy can play and will be influential in the Western Border league.

As reported on another thread, a guy called Mark Bradley has been trying to get a clearance to Hamilton this year from Ironbank in the HFL (though he has played league footy for South Adelaide and was on Collingwood's list back in the late '90's) but apparently it's up in the air as he has to pay them (Ironbank) his sign on fee back to get cleared.
Would definitely be a good pick up for Hamilton if true as he's a key position/ruckman who is very strong and very fit.

The signings by Heywood of Mal Michael, Courtney Johns and Brad Fuller amongst others is certainly gaining plently of coverage down this way.

Interesting to see one of the best players in the comp is in a bit of strife at the moment.

Will he actually have to do the time or was it a suspended sentence?

Millicent were Black and White before the WBFL was formed and Hamilton were a bit like Collingwood ......they would not consider any compromise when the new League was formed.

Congratulations to North Gambier's Matthew Chapman on chalking up his 250th WBFL game yesterday.

I know your dad would have been proud of you and I'm sorry he never got to see you play at senior level.
