Yeah I'm a mate of Beefa's as well wonder elephant. I was at his 30th too. The creek have a pretty similar squad to last year so we should be around the mark again.

Interesting Encounter very little fedback about any of the players ability that they have signed
The players reported at leaving are all useful players and will need quality players to take there place.

As another poster said on a previous page, this bloke will promise the world but it appears he may be 'overextending' himself.

Seems to be a lot of chatter but not much else, word has it everyone that has been offered anything has been delivered on. I'd personally like to see some rumours with some substance. For example Adam Heuskes to Encounter as a personal favour to the new coach (reportedly) and the 2nd player was Cockatoo who is now safe and securely signed with United in the our beloved plains league.

Paul Marshall from Seaton to Encounter Bay

Postby FootyMad » Thu Feb 22, 2007 12:25 pm

Could it be true? There might be tie between him and the coach via gaelic footy as one previous poster mentioned.

Welcome FM you seem to know alot about Encounter. I have heard on the grapevine that Encounter Bay have signed a bloke from South Africa. He stands about 6 foot 8 and about 130kgs. He used to be one of Mandelas guards. Apparently the new coach met when he went to South Africa promoting Aussie Rules. Apparently the coach has a very good knack of turning average players in to superstars. His name is Boeta Dippenar

There is no confusion here mate - me and Newman know exactly who you are. I hear Encounter Bay turned down a trial against a D4 club - coach was a bit fearful for some of his new recruits. Wonder how this new Sth African recruit would have gone ?

Comparisons

Postby Panther32 » Mon Feb 26, 2007 10:34 am

I would like to know what GSFL players think of the competition compared to SAAFL and where they think they would rate if they were put into the SAAFL?
