PS Hurley can play he will certainly be looked at again this year, he is a real talent, Got pace and skill to burn
david kellett was a gun and still is a gun not only good at 15 but was also the second best player in the under 18 champs behind shammer. he is 22 he is as good as macgowan thats why they gave him his number. and he was a integarul part in the dogs back to back reserves flags

Kellet played state Under 18s and IIRC, should've been drafted on his national champs performance, so it's not like he was a gun til he was 15 and then dropped off. It was back when the AFL clubs had the athlete before footballer mentality.

And yes, Hurls can definitely play. Was very, very unlucky last year. Should've at least been rookie-listed like Jace Bode before him. Top bloke too.

whatta ya mean "back when the afl had athlete before footballer mentality??" they still do!

To an extent. Gibbs didn't finish in the top 10 in any of the tested categories at the draft camp last year and went #1, the clubs are starting to head back towards footballers.
david kellett was 1 of the unlucky storis of the draft if he got drafted rather than luke jericho to the crows he would be up around 60 games now

me too Carey - but Zac's really going hard on his defence, particularly dragging up something from several months back. Thought it interesting.

Kenty

Postby Swamp Donkey » Mon Apr 23, 2007 2:44 pm

Yeah Brett Kent started at half forward against the magpies and he picked up under 5 touches for the game. United "We're the next best thing" Tigers got belted by Mallala who were an absolute class act with some great hard players running around. United reallly struggled with the pace. The fact that heath pym played bs and kenty played a's was a weird call from broady.

Speaking of Mallala, I see Reese Francis kicked four goals for the Pies, is he back from centrals or just had the game because Centrals don't play till Wednesday?

he would only be playing reserves though wouldn't he, i mean we had three young Eagles players running around for the roosters on the weekend, including one Tallon Leighton who played reserves last week and these guys had no problem playing, so don't know guess we'll find out soon.

Hmmm I'd heard from his uncle and aunty that he was a bit unhappy at Centrals, but didn't realise it was that bad.

[quote="Agreeed 2 terms"]hear brett splinters kent played a shocker on the week end

Brett splinters kent told me he has having a blinder until he was taken out of the centre and thrown up into the forward pocket he said as soon as he went off they ball they couldn't get it into the forward line, i hear that he then went to the bench, and that is what lost them the game can anyone that was at the game confirm this....
