I reckon 22 for Ironbank is this new Bradley bloke? correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

As for Sammy Broadbridge getting fired up, it happened right in front of me, as Sam tried to shepherd a Barker player, the Barker player threw a blatant roundhouse punch from behind him. Luckily didn't connect though. Looking forward to Lofty v Uraidla this week, always a good match up.

Do you have a boner for the "chief" SB?
Isn't there anything interesting happening in your comp?
We want Vaughn.

i actually think blackwood are better then they were last year. they have now got roach and gigney up and running without injury and mccormick in their midfeild adds another rotation for them. dont worry we will still smash lofty!

i do think this weeks game with uraidla vs mt lofty should be very interesting. my tip is mt lofty but uri are a red hot chance.any other thoughts. ?

therer were quite a few cheap shots thrown behind the play toward the lofty guys and some lip.... dont know what was said or done to sammy broadbridge to get him fired up but he is one of the most placid guys i have ever met and to see him get in a tussle is saying a bit... and what about mcdonald.. yeah we all know we are going to cop it when we play against an old side but he could not even go near the ball without getting punched or pushed into the ground though... but to his credit he just got up and kept playing coping it all on the chin...

Agree there were some cheap shots fired, but not all from the Barker lads! I remember a very high, late hit on T.Barnett on the wing & another unwarrented hit on young Lores by B.Gordon infront of the balcony in the 2nd half.

That wasn't all that cheap just a mere jumper grab really, and the Barker crowd gave it too him anyway, but big flash gordon got 1 back with a goal and stuck it back at them moments l8r absolutly classic!

I do believe a report was filed... Was 80m off the ball and has left the young defender with a dislocated jaw. Ugly incident, certainly riled up a few supporters to say the least

Could be a lot closer as it seems like the devils have lost the services of 2 key players. M. Stapes with what looks like a hammy and K. Mehta with damage to his ankle. Massive shoes to fill there.

Staples was back but injured his hamstring in the first 5 minutes, should be out for 2 or 3

Cheap Shot????? It was an open hand shove which accidently caught his jaw. There was no malice in it, the forward in question was getting sick of the defender continually pulling him back and turned around to shove him in the chest to break the hold.
I find it hard to believe that his jaw was dislocated. I've seen a guy get his jaw dislocated before and it's not a pretty sight and he was in agony. The Ironbank guy stayed on the field for about 5 minutes and then decided to run off. He didn't look like he was in too much pain - he seemed to be moving it around alright.

From what I was told a doctor at the game diagnosed the jaw as dislocated. Sounds like a cheap shot to me. You don't always have to be in a gross amount of pain for every injury, I'd imagine it'd be an unusual feeling. Sounds similar to an incident last year where the offender was actually an Ironbank player. From memory I think he got 9 games.

Rock, think you'll find he got the 9 weeks due to the mess that went on at the tribunal and not the actual incident. Think it was a 4 to 5 week ban had he not stuffed them around.

The Gimp, the player in question is still on the soup cos he cant move his jaw so your diagnosis from seeing him on the field is an interesting one. I played in the B's on the weekend mate and I got this pain in my elbow just wondering i you can tell me what it is??
And are you saying you saw the incident cos I myself did not because it was at opposite end of the ground to the ball so I find it hard to see how you would have too, or this hear say that you are reporting??

gimp you cant be serious, you cant justify a decent hit to the jaw 100m off the ball...

Havnt spoken to Pup yet, but you would assume he would be out for a while, hopefully the tribunal puts Longman out for longer.

The only thing every one at the ground did see was Pup back in the goal square after the incident challenging the Birdwood player by pushing and shoving him and trying to go on with it ( which the Birdwood player didn't want anything to do with ) all with a dislocated jaw. One tough player.

Believe the Bankers have it on video tape and if it were I police chargers should be laid. The birdwood guy is a coward. The league don't need clowns like that in this league. How a bloke can hit a young lad like that is atrocious. I've been coaching footy for over 20 years and he wouldn't play again for birdwood if I was coach. I have no involvement with either club so am totally unbiased.

Gimp your either naive or plain stupid! Physiotherapist diagnosed the jaw as dislocated and the incident was reported by the goal umpire! And i do believe goal umpires are now HFL umpires(correct me if wrong)! Which would suggest this incident will be dealt with!!!

Birdwood player is lucky it was not seen by any player on the ground and if not suspended in the second round of the comp, reckon he might be injured for the clash at Thunder Park!!!

Looks like the tape will tell the story because by the sounds of it no one actually witnessed the incident. Not sure who the Birdwood player is but if he can break someones jaw with an open hand shove then he must be some sort of Incredible Hulk.
I'm not condoning the Birdwood players "alleged" act because king hits are not on but please don't go on about it being against a kid because if he is playing 1's and scragging blokes then he is to be treated the exact same as everyone else.
I'm no leader. I do what I have to do - sometimes people come with me.
