That you will be in for a diappointing season if youre an angaston supporter.

no worries Osama, these boys are just getting a bit edgy before Friday drinks. I've done this one before, but it has changed slightly.
1. Tanunda
2. Gawler Central
3.-6 little between Nuri ( a lot of ins, very few outs) Barossa, South, Ango
7. Freeling
8. Willaston
9. Kapunda

It will again be a very hard fought season and it is irrelevant where all the teams place, what really matters is if they treat the umpires well... ha

Just a pity they will have to fight for spots. Half the state outside of the BLG has been moved into town.

Don't forget Russell McDonald. One of the best colt ruckmen going around last season IMO

My tips for the premiership ladder:

Tanunda (that's an easy one)
South (gd recruits and some of the gd juniors ready now)
Central (still a gd list - hard to gauge the Dawe effect)
Angaston (was already improving and now a couple of v gd ins)
Barossa (lost too much of the engine room)
Nuriootpa (another year yet)
Willaston (need more big men)
Freeling (on the slow rise back up)
Kapunda (ageing list and no-one new)

Yer agreed Rusty can Ruck at colts level, played association vs Hills 08 as well.
Some bigger frames may test him

Kapunda to get the wooden spoon this season, just think that Freeling will do little better this season. With a logon name like that Osama I would now think that this BLG blog is now under the watch of the CIA, perhaps they may learn some valuable insights into the workings of country footy.

Angaston 2nd? You have been in hiding too long Osama and have lost touch with the western world...

1st- Tanunda will still be that far ahead of the rest it wont matter and will might lose one game instead of none this season.
2nd- Angaston will be a good side this year, dont write them off just yet Texas.
3rd- Niklaus, Cooke, Clasholm massive losses for Gawler Central. No recruits yet. More pressure on Hahn again.
4th- South, can they break into finals??? Got exactly what they needed in the draft a couple of big men, to help the struggling undersize backline.
5th- Nuriootpa Will be very good this year. Two Salter's big value to have them back, will have close to best midfield in the competition. (Gerhardy, Gibson, Salter, Salter and Foulis)
rest made up of Freeling, Barossa, Willaston and Kapunda.

Big call saying Nuri will have the best midfield in the comp. I reckon Angastons will be fairly handy in Dawes, Robertson, Harvey, Bain, Pech and Doecke/Bascombe to float through there as well. Although I have heard that Harvey will play in the back pocket this year seen they have recruited quality onballers with pace.

One thing for sure is that Nuri have the best ruckman in the comp fot hit out's to Advantage. That for me is the key. Im with Bag & sledge i think they will be a much improved side this season!!!!

Very interesting. Would have thought assisting A's for a season or taking the B graders for a season would be first step but if he can why not. Got to start somewhere.

You make some very valid points under the pack. But not sure if your mail is right on Harvey. Unless he has taken a massive pay cut not sure if the panthers would be paying $500/game for a back pocket. also dont think Bascombe will be much chop AGAIN this year, still pretty fat i heard. like to see him complete a game or two.

Make the right decisions and you will have no worries, just remember the crowd goes to watch the players not the UMPS.

I think everyone is forgetting about Tanunda's midfield, by far the best last season and the other sides are still unproven, so at this stage Tanunda still has the best midfield (by a country mile).
