Question is would that team beat the Central Div. by 5 - 10 goals or would it be more like 20 goals?

You have got to be kidding mate.

TOD you are dreaming if you think that side would even come close to the Central Hills side. Must agree with you Bat PAd on this one.

so what would the Hills Central side looks like? I know birdwood would contribute M.Krieg, R.McGahey maybe G.Dempsey... S.Friend perhaps? realistically i think the hills central would get up over the country team by close to 10 goals.

Think you'd find Krieg, McGahey and Dempsey in it. The bloke who put the Hills Country Team up has put some thought into it and put up a fair unit. Would anyone be able to up the strongest available Hills Central team to measure up as it's pretty easy to say 'Nah they wouldn't get close' without some merit involved. Still reckon Gary has the best footballer of either divs running around in a long sleeve most weeks.

I don't know about that Cougs. A bloke in black and White named Bartemucci has been making some fair inroads this year.

Fair call TB. Would Bartemucci be numero uno in Central now replacing Ebert? Or would Krieg be around the mark? I know if Kersbrook had the choice of ANY Hills Footballer, they'd pick Gary's boy.

it wouldnt even be a contest. Hills DIV 1 would kill them by 10 goals or more. bartamucci is better then anyone they have in their side. along with names like cooper, bawden, ebert, nunan, richards, gigney, burch, brown and many others i could see a masacre out there. not to mention names like lomas and hebert who are yet to play but would make it.

I'll have a stab for you Cougar, however i am sure many good players will be missing.
Note that this will not be the Best 22 players in the comp, but the best in each position right now in my opinion, or at least who i can think of at the moment. ( threw Burch in the BP because he has to be in the team)

F: D Brown A Roche A Bishop

B Pistola B Devries D Gigney

M Bartemucci M Cooper N Smart

S Sutherland C Shee M Stansbourough

Wood J Aufderheide B Burch

Ruck: A Bawden A Klun M Krieg

Int: T Nicholas S Smith B Eckermann M Vidic

Notable absentees: S Nunan, W Mclean, S Ebert, D Ebert, M Down, P McGarey, R McGahey, G Dempsey, T Kaeslar, D Roberts, A Stephens, M Stapleton, B Gordon, L McLean, B Howman, J Gallagher, S McCormick, J Brown, S Tanner, M Bradley and im sure a few others that people will make me aware of.

Pretty darn hard to pick that side, and Im sure many of you will pick holes in it. The question I have is, which one of the 22 I put in the side, or the ones I mentioned were notable absentees, would not make the Country Division side?

Great effort BP... as stated maybe a couple missing, but all in all I reckon that must have taken you a while and you have come up with a bloody good side and mostly in position too. =D> =D>

that's a very very strong side, and i think you're almost all of the notable absentees would probably make the Country Div... mind you for me, Nunan, S Ebert and R McGahey would all be in the central Div side... though it is hard to know who I'd drop!

i dont know if i would have bish starting forward. 4 talls is probably too many. maybe start on the bench. but the rest of the team is awesome on every line. maybe a gags or even vidic in the pocket.

Yeah thought about that, decided to go tall. Figured Roche is Mobile enough to afford Bish up there. Either way works with that much quality to choose from.

Great effort BP. Would have liked S.Ebert in. Not gonna make outlandish comments and say the Hills Country Div team would smash that mob, but the match ups would be great. Bawden v Jacques, Burch v Roger, Beef on young Pistols, Sutherland on Slattery, 2 Doggies Premiership players squaring off, Carter vs Devries. Would make a great spectacle and would probably attract a large crowd. Pity it will never happen.

Good discussion guys and always gonna miss people depending on what teams you watch most.....

So would Div 1 beat Div 2?? Why isn't that then the association game, instead of playing BLG in some game that in all honesty no one really gives a crap about? I reckon you would have a massive crowd and the players would be very keen to prove they play in a strong comp.
