Has mitchell quit the bays? Or have they said he won't be going on? If its just part of the constitution surely they would wait till the end of the season for advertising it in the paper...

MOST teams advertise their coaching positions at the end of every year. I wouldnt read too much into it just yet.. Although IMO do i think Mitchell will stay on?? No... Do i think he should..... No..

my 2 cents.

No. He just has 1 more game to coach! Yes the Bays have written into our Constitution that
we advertise our position at the end of ever season! This occured 2007-2008 with Bass.
The last coach that was appointed before Advertising the Position was Bob Beecroft in 1990
the night we won the Flag - the club still Advertised the Position 2 weeks later!
As Far as the end of season the Bays have 2 trainings & 1 game to go. Thus being the end
of season. - We want to get working early for 2010.

Go on holidays for a week and its all happening.

The weekends game between Compass and Strath must've been a great game. 7 points and Compass if they get the win this weekend get the important double chance and a crack at either Willunga or Langhorne Creek in the Qualifying final.

This weekend is a massive test for us, running into the form side in Langhorne Creek. Hill has had an amazing 6 weeks and with Moore, Sherwood and co all up and about we are up against it! Also playing for top spot and the Mccracken Cup so theres a bit on this one before finals start next week!

The B grade is a very close comp aswell with the top 3 not set yet and Willunga are spewing they drew against the Tigers as now without a win this week they will drop to 4th and be playing Sunday footy against Mt Compass in the elimination final.

Comedy Gold.
I think you might see "The Dollartron" get a couple more seasons out of that ageing body due to his kind friends at TEAC who have helped him recover week to week (ducted heating n cooling & entertainment system) after a tough match ;)

Only a week away from mail medal night... who is everyone's pick to take it out? Will Portlock be the bridesmaid once again or can he get up to snare one?!?

This could be his year limb. He should poll in most games. Willunga's usual vote getters in Baxter and Carnevale have had quieter years this year so shouldn't steal as many of Mitchs votes. Haskett was Willunga's other invite and while he has had some standout games he has had to go to the backlines to do a job from time to time so I don't think he can win. Portlock's season has been worthy of a mail medal but he can only influence one out of the five games each weekend. So who was invited from the other clubs?

Ewer and Yeomans are the magpie invites. I reckon Zac is a sneaky chance. would have polled 3's and 2's in our first 5 games and is one of those players that the umpires already have on the agenda before the first bounce. Luke Ellis will have polled 5 against us and Ben Moore will also poll 5 against us so they would be 2 guys that stood out for mine. Having siad that, the mail medal is picked by the men in white, so anything can happen (eg Dave Whitbourne).

Cheetah and Maxy will be representing the Mount Compass FC at the Medal count… Both guys have had stellar seasons. Cheetah has been a revelation since he has been playing in the backlines in the latter part of the year and Maxy has played a majority of time in the middle for the club and has continuously racked up high possession games. Milburn had a fantastic start to the season polling well in the clubs best each week and Burdett has be a very good contributor for the whole year and can be a vote magnet. So there might be some juggling of a few votes over the 18 rounds. Good luck to all players…

Langhorne Creek will have Benny Moore and Felipe Hill in attendance.. both should be around the mark I would've thought.

How are Victor travelling at the moment? With all the hype early in the year, new key recruits and a good start to the season should be interesting to see how they go come finals time. Are there key players fit and playing at the moment? Reckon they could surprise a few teams in sept. What players were invited to mail medal?? Hodge or either Ellis...
