Money and a sprinkling of SANFL (inc some other leagues) does not make a league quality, this isn't basketball - there's 21 in a team of footballers is all I mean.

You would think so Panther32 but one thing players from the RMFL have learnt, we dont get any respect when it comes to the league. It is funny how the people that bag the RMFL to me, havent actually played in the league and have only seen a handfull of games! if that...

Just out of curiosity where would you place the RMFL in the say SAAFL? The STANDARD as a whole?

So if for example you were a coach FM are you telling me that if I gave you $10k to put together a football team and then gave you $50k to put together another team that the $10k team would be better???!!!

P32 have you just accidentally let slip what Jervois pay per season on recruiting?
To answer your question, if the teams were the same distance from town then I would struggle, if my 10K team were closer than your 50K team then I would have you.
I'd like to play your 50k team in a trial this pre-season, PM me to organise. Will we need to play at your ground as there are no match payments for trials?
But P32 what does this question have to do with the quality of the league? A leagues quality is judged on the entire league not the two/three strongest teams or even the strongest team, for you Hills this is called an 'average'. So in saying that, if your side spends 50k and wins a gf this doesn't actually mean your league is a high quality but rather that team.

No I was actually referring to what Encounter Bay pay players...
It's been quoted on here that all the RMFL clubs pay well and they all field SANFL quality players, so why would clubs spend (example EB $400 a game) yet they can't afford to pay other players? It would be silly to pay 3 or 4 players a lot of money and not have any other decent players, just pay 8 or 9 good players say $200 a game?
But your right, this isn't basketball, basketballers don't get paid they just play for their mates...

$200 a game. Come on Panther theres no way thats what Jervois are paying.
I dont care either, if they have the money and are happy to pay it then all power to them, they certainly offered a LOT more than that to players i know.
Its working for them, so play on!

P32 this is the biggest load of rubbish I've read from you! On the notion of Eb shelling out more than say... Jervois I believe that EB lost their B&F winner to Jervois on the account of more money, more homework needed by you I think... Regardless your argument has gone off track and I am sensing you have another topic more pressing to talk about, if its playe payments then the RMFL win hands down over us, it makes sense as your further from town than most GSFL clubs.

Regardless I want to play Jervois in a trial, you pick the ground. Get your coach to contact us to lock it in or PM me his number.

If they pay in the thousands why couldnt they afford to keep their ruckman? I would've thought that the B&F and Club Captains along with your best first year player/senior colt were necessities to retain?

Nah your right FM, more money than what he was paid the year before, I guess when he won your b & f you should have offered him more and not less!

Anyone got any news about any INs or OUTs of any of the clubs??

I've heard Tailem has recruited quite a few but i'm not sure of any names or how many are A grade level.

Also heard Jackson from Ramblers big chance to leave the Chooks.
