So a game against Yank next week, must be a good chance to go 2-1.

How long before McLaren can play in another GF? Only up the road from Willies - travel is shorter than say victor, strong juniors but in recent years it doesnt seem to be converting...?

Whats the club up to in order to make this happen guys?

only time will tell, we have about 8 to 10 juniors out at south and have a very young side but if we hold onto the players we have we will be up there again in a couple of years, but dont forget vision we are the last club to win a grand final before willungas domination and 1 of only 3 clubs (langhorne creek being the other) to win a grand final since we joined the league in 2001. Our last few years have not been good but we are not hiding from where we are but imo we have been poorly coached for the last 3 years. we are genuinely trying to build a side that can be around for 5,6,7,8 years and to do this will take time but hopefully with the appointment of hilly as coach it is a step in the right direction but like i said only time will tell

I see a fair few of the tipsters in the GSFL are picking yankallila to beat you mob this week because they have bigger and stronger bodies than the McLaren Players. Do you do weights?

A very good tribute to the ANZACS last night at the McLaren V Yankalilla night game.
With all players, umpires, coaches etc from the A grade lining up in respect and rememberance,
with one of our players playing the last post (Great job Koopy)

The atmosphere enough to send shivers down your spine,
with the silence while the last post was being played,
the wintery weather that we've become accustomed to with ANZAC day and the darkness of the night.
And RSL members in attendance.

Lest we forget.

Some photos:
(Quality not fantastic, was dark and my camera didn't quite pick up images - I have 'tried' to join a few photos for panoramic view :D)

good work by the boys last night yank came back in the third quarter with the breeze behind them but for the second time in 2 weeks i thought the boys fitness shone through and were able to run over top them in the last quarter, jimmy williams did a number on the point post, getting slammed into it and bending it over, and then from somewhere in the creek a mysterious yetti appeared and straightened it up again

Good to see someone remembered a camera Mum.
Good on you for putting them on.

It was terrific to see and hear Koops play the Bugle and very well too. I guess we can forgive him for missing trainings for the Army Band practice.

Might be worthwhile checking the clearances this week too

Of all the hundreds of Anzac Day games played around Australia yesterday that would have to be the only one with an actual player playing the 'Last Post.
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

Yes as TY said, it was special KW.
And an even greater effort by Koopy as he'd just spent 2 hours running around the field O:)
