fleet too good for chris shee on the weekend too, wouldve looked worse if lockie had kicked straight..

GTS I hope you arent taking anything away from Onkas, they too were missing some key players in Smith and Wescombe and i believe had Patching kicked straight (i think it was 6 behinds) the scoreline may have been quite different.

BR, not at all mate. just stating that any win is a good win when ur team is so depleted of numbers. over the last few yrs weve always had tough battles with onkas and its good to get past blackwood and onkas with a 2-0 record.. also thought steve tanners game was awesome, did everything he couldve to try to get the dogs up and almost did in the second half. wouldve laid 20 tackles in the 2nd half..

Well done Fleety, not a bad return for apparently the worst payer in the comp! Also, good to see some young fellas stepping up with a few more established players missing- David Abernethy in particular. By far his best game for the club that I have seen.

Is the devs game a night game this week?

I think you'll find a much improved devils side over the coming weeks. Has been a slow start as was the case last year which can be forgiven...i'm still hungover from mad monday...not to mention the footy trip!

And Boundary rider, i'm taking away plenty from onkas...apart from the Temme bros...those four super stars missing from a side would leave a huge gap in any side, but we still did you boys in. I'm tipping a a belting in the return fixture. By then we should haev it out of first gear.

yeah the devs game is a night game and Joel brown rucked nearly all day for lofy...
cant take anything away from onkas but lofty never really looked like losing the game... watch out for the next few weeks when they get back to full strength and start smashing sides..

Can anyone inform me of whether Both Justin and Luke Curtis are at Birdwood or is it just Justin who has been there for years. Also how is Josh Davis going as new Captain of a new side who seem to be the improvers so far.

I thought there was the Lofty Friday night match and a Bridgy Sunday game with the rest played Saturday. Are they only playing A's & B's to get around the time constraints?

I am fairly certain Lofty's game is a Saturday night game, not Friday night.

Did someone say the Bridgy V Birdwood game will be a good measuring stick for both sides???
Please explain how two teams who struggled last year can tell where they are at by playing each other??
I think people are getting a little carried away here... two games into the season not ten! Lofty is always a late blossomer often having a tight win or loss in the first three games. Hahndorf has an abundance of new players, which means it will take time to perfect game plans, structure etc... Wouldn't be calling resurgances too early, though it is good to see some tighter score lines!

your missing the point.

no-one's saying that bridgy or birwood are premiership favourites, but the game will provide a good measuring stick as to how much they've both improved relative to each other. Bridwood beat bridgy in both games last year - bridgy appear to have recruited more heavily during the off-season - so this game will show us something.

sorry if you think that the competition revolves around mt lofty.
