Cyclops your love for Zac is astonishing. I hope you have passed this onto the great man!

He will certainly be right in the mix for the Mail Medal along with Hodgey and Sammy J so you could have your wish.

I still think Maxfield, Felipe Hill and Haskett are the ones to watch along with Zac whos had a great year for Goolwa!

Interesting comment re finishing 6th TW. It can be a huge disadvantage to your side to finish 6th with the points system the way it is. Surely common sense will prevail and the points allocation will change for that position!

A bit of tongue in cheek from some of the Goolwa boys i reckon TW (we dont have to deliberately lose its been happening anyway), but 7th is 3 points extra that 6th which would come in handy. We will certainly not try to finish 7th, we need to finish with a few wins on a positive note to go in to 2010 on the up. I heard your boys are going to tank the elimination final?

I havent really heard that you lads say anything or that you would think of doing it at all LF, I just know that Victor had this problem last season finishing 6th and having 3 points less to use because of it and it seem very unfair that you miss out on finals footy by 1 spot and the next season you get the same points allocation as a side that played finals.
What advantage does a side get for loosing a elimination final if they get the opportunity to play in one?

How was your return to Goolwa oval TW? Rousing reception for yourself from the adoring crowd?

Lets hope you have nothing to do with the breeding in the southern area ;) Although with the amount of man love you have for these boys it may not be possible

With some of the issues in other leagues (like teams getting beaten by 85 goals and weekly incidents where police are involved) the GSFL is an attractive proposition i would have thought. I am tipping that the summer of 09/10 will see some big names being mentioned as well as some big signings, already hearing plenty around the traps.
