The Prince won't be taking any players, plus with the points system there may not be much room.
The Prince is a top bloke and will be sorely missed by the Bays thats for sure! He was one of the 'must keep' players from season 07!

Good luck to Princi, all the best. He is a top bloke and knowing him, he wouldn't try to poach any players from EB, he's just to nice to do that.
How EB handle the loss of the big fella is another story, I guess the coach (whoever that may be!) will have a big task at hand next season.

The club decided on Princi overnight, wonder what he had over Portlock as from all reports both were asked to interview for the role and Portlock has the more recent league footy experience?

Not sure Portlock had the interview you speak of FM.
Happy playing at Willunga and declined the offer to apply.

Luke Ellis would be a very good coach, is a very good player.
FM do u think he would be the best and most credentialled applicant u have had at EB this year?

Not sure on his credentials to be honest however he'd have to be top two.
Depends on the club, I know they have made there choice however there are a few negotiations to be done still with the chosen one.

Ben Princi coaching Myponga? Hi might be an okay footballer, nice bloke but does he have any coaching ability to speak of? Cannot see Sterzyl & co listening to what he has to say, if they are staying on that is...

I'm with you Roo, I Know Princi and think he is a nice guy. Not sure he's the player that a few have mentioned though...

As for how he'll go up at Pongy, I think it's a strange choice, I know that he would of put together an impressive presentation but I can't see him tapping into the boys up there (Lootsy, Big Sterz, Juice, Heathy & co.)

Just heard that the players are meeting this weekend to have a chat on what they can do, don't think it's been received well.

I don't think Benny knows what he is in for up there either. Myponga have a tendancy to knife eachother from within the club, it's been going on for a long time, especially with coaches!

The Larks need a couple of gun players to be injected into the club, so I hope for Princi, that he gets support from within.

Wayne Deacon can consider himself to be extremely hard done by! He got them into the finals playing kids and guys who cant kick drop punts. Unfortunatly, it looks like some of the 'old dead wood' at Myponga may have taken him and the effort he's put in for granted

Goodluck Princi.... I reckon you'll need it

Time will tell.
One thing he may find hard is learning to recruit players - like what has been said, he will need em.

I think u may find Deacon did want the job but may not have been as impressive in the interview as Princi being a school teacher would have had a flasher presentation.

In saying that i would back Deacons coaching ability. The only query i have with it as he was from Myponga so was caoching his mates which can always be a little dodgy. I would like to see him coach elsewhere as i think he would be quite a good coach and would definitely be worth other clubs having a look at!

So we all agree Princi's a nice bloke, that's his first down fall.
Secondly why would such a nice bloke put his head on the line for the "family" all coaches before him have felt the rath of the inhouse Pongy mentality,if you invite one Hutchy fishing and not the others be sure to find a horse's head in your bed by tea time.
Thirdly why Benny why?? it's the coldest place on earth in winter, which will work against your aspirations to be Australia's next super model. No tan No contract!!
