If you can't put him in the midfield, you could put him on a half forward flank. End of the day, he should be in the starting team full stop.

Or even a half back flank.

Umpires don't recognise his team oriented game much.
As for only interchange in Team of year-who selected that?
Seems like the flashy players are the ones who catch the eye.
I would say he would be fairly disillusioned with Riverland Football at present.

He still got in the team of the year.
It's not like he's been completely left out.
There's no doubt he's in the best 22 players in the Riverland and probably the top 5.
But there's only room for a few midfielders and there were some that had standout years i.e. Rhys Mitchell, Chris Scholefield.

How can a top 5 player in the entire league not make the starting team??? Whoever picked that team made a huge boo boo I'm sorry to say. Did the selectors watch much RFL this year, or did they just go by the best players each week???

The selectors all watched RFL games each week BC.
It's the same as someone like Adam Goodes for example, who I rate in the top 5 in the AFL, but is probably likely to miss out on a starting spot in the All-Australian team.
Guys like Paul Chapman or Lenny Hayes have had great years and you can't deny them a spot in the side ahead of Goodes, who IMO has also had a great year, just not as good.

Ask the Loxton coach/and assistant coach what they think. Ask them where Kruger played and they will tell you across half back, in the centre, on a wing,on ball and up forward. The selectors didn't use much imagination with their placings and should have found a spot onfield for the regional and all Australian captain. His form for Loxton was greater than best player lists each week and umpire votes indicate, so regardless of representation at higher honours, it is puzzling to rate him as 19-22 in the association, when a simple placement on a back flank would have avoided such discussion.
Who was named captain ?

To be honest I thought Kruger polled as predicted.
One Loxton player who didn't poll a single vote and should of
is Nick Uren.
There should be more debate on how Uren did not poll.
He wasn't a standout but he was clearly best on ground in a match
against Renmark and got nothing.
Maybe too many handballs on the bottom of the pack and the umps couldn't see???

I've never understood why Nick Uren never polls.
Regularly ignored in the Whillas.
Has previously won the Peter Frankcom medal.

When I spoke to Nick last year after he won the Writers' Award, he said he didn't expect to poll well in the Whillas because he probably chats to the umpires a bit much
Pretty honest appraisal!

Saf was unlucky not to get one.
Back flanks were Bachmann and Perry.

Definately could have slotted him in on Harwoods forward flank. That selection defies belief.

You blokes from Berri getting a bit nervous. Hot favourites all year going into GF, late season form OK at best, that week out good for injuries but most blokes like to get their hands on the pill every week under match conditions. Fortnight out can be a loooonnnngggg time.

Coming up against the mighty Roos who by all accounts played some form footy to stop that incredible streak by Loxton.

Find out Saturday I guess you Berri blokes whether the expectation of your year is a positive or negative. Be playing on a few blokes mind I would reckon.

CAAARN YOU ROOS!!!
