Team of the Year doesn't take into account interleague/zone matches etc.
But Kruges had an exceptional year in that regard.

Should be tight at the top of the leaderboard by the looks....

Great to see beachy and damian stevens as the two favourites, beachy very hard working midfielder and damian stevens very talented. His brother shane missed out on a mail medal due to suspension, would be great to see one of them win. When is your medal night?

Nicely picked BC. Would have been nervous when Smith starting making his run @ $8.

Pete Smith bagged seven goals in the last round against Loxton North.
He was a clear standout and probably the difference.
Polled no votes.
Ran into the umpire that officiated the game and he said they thought
about giving Smith three votes. Obviously he was over ruled and received none!
Damian Stevens went on to deservedly win.

I heard SL was going to steal three votes from me in retribution for pinching a goal off him in the last minor round game, so decided not to go.

Ask anyone around Loxton and they will tell you that Leigh Kruger had a great year.
Umpires don't recognise his team oriented game much.
As for only interchange in Team of year-who selected that?
Seems like the flashy players are the ones who catch the eye.
I would say he would be fairly disillusioned with Riverland Football at present.

He still got in the team of the year.
It's not like he's been completely left out.
There's no doubt he's in the best 22 players in the Riverland and probably the top 5.
But there's only room for a few midfielders and there were some that had standout years i.e. Rhys Mitchell, Chris Scholefield.

If Southern Fan said he is disillusioned, I reckon I'd believe him, as he's pretty close to the bloke.
Although, I reckon he gets plenty of notice - certainly does in the local media.
However, if Kruges is disillusioned with anything in Riverland footy, it would be the fact that he's not playing a grand final this week.
Loxton had a good enough team to be there - just couldn't get it together in Saturday's conditions.
I await with interest to hear the first "Kruger won't be at Loxton next season" rumour. It seems to happen every year.

Yeah was surprised by Josh Nelson's votes. He only got them in four 2s and three 3s, so he actually polled quite often.
Ty Allen must have taken some votes from Les Pearson.
Poor Les, no votes to date in RFL football

How can a top 5 player in the entire league not make the starting team??? Whoever picked that team made a huge boo boo I'm sorry to say. Did the selectors watch much RFL this year, or did they just go by the best players each week???
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.
