I am sure that A mum and A son will have a picture for you to see on Monday.

A bit harsh LF re the jumpers. I reckon the Willunga jumper is good and by the way, it did look good on me 20 years ago...

Thanks Springer, wasnt a serious jibe. Refer to definition no.2

"joke" (noun)

2. Something that is amusing or ridiculous, esp. because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce: Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke.
3. A matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter: The loss was no joke.
4. Something that does not present the expected challenge; something very easy: The test was a joke for the whole class.

Good night at the club last night with the heritage guernsey presented to us by 4 ex players who played in the premierships in the late 40s and early 50s.

Guernseys look great and bring a different feel to the already exciting day that is Sunday footy.

Who decided it would be a good idea to schedule the Sunday game against the Panthers on Sunday! Surely having a look at the SANFL program would have been a good idea and scheduling the Sunday game when theres not a game would be better, ive still got my money on Demon Park having a larger crowd than Hickinbotham Oval!

Maybe next year BJ... the GSFL should write to the SANFL and tell them not to programme South on the Sunday when Willunga plays McLaren as that will draw spectators away from the South game.
Where is Demon Park????

How did the hoop look around the middle of the larger guys?

I think the SANFL would come to the party on that Yetti. The past players handing out the guernseys were saying stick it to Mclaren Districts on Sunday whilst handing it out!

Demon Park is at Willunga, at the back of the Basketball Hall, im sure youve been there before.

The hoop looked fantastic, all the boys will look amazing and you should be thankful for the pleasure of watching us run around in it Sunday!

There was 1200 at Hickenbottom last Saturday if I can remember correctly
The McLaren Willunga game will draw that many easy.
The Willunga grandstand will be full
My Money is with BJ's and Shoe Boys. More at Willunga than South Adelaide

Be interesting to see i guess, if you could take a count at the gate and see but even a small crowd like you mentioned at SAFC game last week i reckon would still be more than you get at local and country games like this, but hey could be wrong. Guess it would be hard to tell with the amount of people coming and going throughout the day with all the younger grades etc. Perhaps you could try and do a rough head count BJ whilst resting in the pocket!

The 2 times McLaren and Willunga play during the year are 2 of the best crowds for the year, (outside Finals). At Mclaren with a night game and then the Past Players at Willunga. Unfortunately the McLaren A's have struggled a bit for a few years but always been the 2 days of the footy season I look forward to.
Not sure that BJ will be able to get past counting to 10 unless you see him with his boots off

Yetti with your form at games this year (Mothers Day weekend for instance) will you be able to count anything by half time of the A grade? Or will we find you with 2 beers in hand, struggling to speak?

I think a few people underestimate how many people actually come through the gates on a Saturday in local footy. Between netballers (11 teams @ 8 per team) and footballers (6 teams @ 21 per team) there is 430 people just there. Its hard to calculate the crowds because most clubs dont have a recording system but we have estimated two 1200 strong crowds this year which would match a SAFC game. I would think a Sunday clash between Willunga and McLarens would draw 1000 - 1300.
