Mate you just added to it, bring up a different topic then. Good on Bridgey and Birdwood for wanting to talk about there clubs.

I think you'll find that those clubs have good representation on this site therefore they speak about topics in relation to their club. Some could probably take a pointer and not talk about other clubs and people if they don't know the facts.

That's a matter of opinion Pumba, I reckon Mt Lofty is the worst club in the league.

jumping back onto the Interleague topic again, I believe that the forced rule should come into play! yeah ppl arent keen at the moment, because the hills have produced shit teams the last few years.

I played in 2005-2007 and it was great! We had such a strong team with the best players from each side playing. The games were hard and tough and very skillfull and very enjoyable games. I respected the better players of the hills cos I was all of a sudden playing along side them!!

It was a privelidge to play for the hills. It is fair to say that everyone is passionate when it comes to playing for their club, and I feel that the hills is one of the strongest competitions in the state. I dont see how players wouldn't want to represent the hills if the strongest side was put on the park??

Agree with older players getting closer to 30 not wanting to play cos their bodies are struggling. But mid 20's, your body is in the best shape it can be in.

And at the end of the day, we have a 10 team comp???? This means that there is 18 games plus finals??

SANFL play 22 games plus finals plus trials etc. So what is one more game going to do to your body??

I found that my next few games after the interleague were better cos your speed and touch were alot more tuned from playing at the higher standard.

therefore I say enforce it and try and get the better players to play. Money or no money, the majority of players play the game for enjoyment, why wouldn't playing one game at a better standard with the best players in your league not be fun???

They play Div 2 mate.
Id say as a player coming from that league and have played against them that they have been the big improvers over the past 2 years. Last year made the finals with a young hard running team and play an exciting style of footy.
Keep a close watch on them this year!!

Major In's: Matt Down, Danny Ebert both from North
Major outs: Staples (West Adelaide) Ebel (Injured)

Anderson won't play til late July as he is still recovering from his knee reco surgery, Staples may return if he doesn't see league time with West and expecting senior colts of 07 & 08 to step up to A grade. S.Ebert may miss games or play 'off the ball' after being accepted into the Fire Brigade.

Numbers on the track have been around the 40 mark. Expecting nothing less than a Top 3 finish.

yeah unfortunately will not be playing for the red and white stripes this year. Still have a bit of time in the Middle East.

It was great to get up to training again and see all the boys. 14 months is a long time when you love the club so much. Unfortunately it looked as though it wasn't a good year weather wise for the oval. It was a cow paddock and my knee felt everything. Pulled up real sore the next day after training.

I played my first game of footy since going the knee on the weekend in Bahrain and it pulled up fine on an even surface oval.

Just so the rumours don't fly around, I didn't head down to the old mill to meet Owen, he picked me up from the airport, we went back to his place for dinner where his daughters were there waiting for me!!! lol

On the Uraidla note, Danny Ebert will be a huge inclusion for Uri's this year providing he can keep injury free, the man is a gun and will dominate hills footy this year. Will also be interesting to see McGahey and Ebert going head to head against each other. very close mates those two! Wish I was still running around against them. Would have been a great hit out!!

Ted, heard Matt Vidich may not be available this year due to work commitments as well. Was one of Uraidlas best last year and would be tough to replace. Hard at it. Any truth to this?

One of the boys at training last night was saying the Courier had a story about the ins & outs at each club. I tried the website but it's not up to date has anyone got a link or can anyone scan a copy and post it?

That is a great addition to the HFL site. Ignore all the speculation/rumours on here and go straight for the official clearances. Just had a look at Top 75 - does that include Juniors??? Some massive numbers of games in there. Kym Pearce not far off 700 games???

Looks like the Top 75 includes Juniors....Huge Numbers there! 8 of the Top 12 blokes are from Kersbrook

Reckon Kym Pearce may well close in on Johnny 'Skin' Mac, if the Brookers put a 'C' grade in, otherwise he's gonna finish a bit short.
