The amount of elbows and fists I have seen Swanbury throw in the last two matches deserves more scrutiny.

Don't be silly. Swanny is an angel. Isn't that right Snow???

Pumpa will get off ;)

You never can tell with the tribunal but I reckon he's pretty safe.
I reckon the Tribunal Commissioner will see nothing in it.

If he DID bump a player while in the trainer's hands, I reckon that's pretty ordinary though.

Whichever.
I reckon he's safe.
Finals time is a big time to be suspending a player and he won't go for a minor offence.

Finals or not Finals it shouldn't come into it if the Tribunal think it is worthy of suspension - too bad.
Pardon my ignorance but was he reported by the umpire or was it a club report from the opposing side?

Can anyone shed any light on the Matt Morrell incident in the round 16 match? I heard he had his jaw wired

When you look at who sits on the Commission it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility that he would go for a minor offence. Lets hope sanity prevails tonight.

It was a club report. Out of the 11 officiating umpires, non filed a report on game day.

I totally agree. I just think that human nature doesn't always work the way it should.

I'm not totally up on the history but what suspensions in the past decade have impacted players still in the finals?

I think people are missing the point, from what I understand contact was made with the female trainer and she was none to happy, that is the issue.

I agree - and it shouldn't matter if it is a female trainer or not - no contact should be made with club officials by any player.

Why would the trainer make a complaint then.......and say that she was hit and hard...
it's just not on.......there was no reason why he had to turn around to go back and remonstrate, IMO the club has a duty of care to the officials.......they should not come under any threat from opposing players or officials......if a player is in the hands of the trainers or is noticably injured, under AFL law, is (and should be) protected from this sort of action................the Commission will decide and should hear it...........

The trainer was not touched by the Berri player. I was right in front of the incident and there was no contact made on the trainer by the Berri player at all.
