Cuzzy, is there any truth to the rumour that one of the greatest forwards in the history of the game, Sir Scott Hodges has been approached to coach the Bays next year?

There is also mounting frustration in the SFK ruck stocks with a former Bay flame possibly returning to shoulder the ruck work for the Bays next year. Rumour has it he will literally have the KICTHEN sink thrown at him, quite home proud the man is.

Limb my man.
The oval is as usual, in tip top condition. I went for a bit of a sprint across the oval, to catch one of the coaches to get his tea order last night and did notice a bit of dust flying up behind me. The surrounds are a bit cut up as there were a lot of people at the Bocce Club last weekend.

Do not expect "a pretty muddy McLaren Vale Oval" it is in real good nick. You won't get covered in mud, unless we get an inch of rain tomorrow. Everyone has the flu so you might get that though.

Great to hear the ground is in A1 condition. Do you think I'd be better off with the long stops or the moulded sole boots tomorrow?

As of now you could wear sandshoes and not slip over.
Bring both pairs as the heavy rain is expected late Saturday Afternoon.

the bays got up in a spirited performance, down a goal at 3 qrtr time and got up. largely thanks to back line of Butler, Sanders, Blum, Lintern and Lindsay, senior colt matt allen had his 1st a grade game and did well and with a few players still to return, the second half of the yr should be better than the first.

and no coxy didnt play and nor will he be playing for us again

hey Limb, what happened on the w/end mate? You boys had a few out or are McLarens starting to stack their b's? (this is tongue in cheek McLarens people!) great result for the Vale.

Our B's are going great guns at the moment. Definately not stacking at this stage of the year with the A's still looking at maybe a fifth spot finish if we have a good second half of the year!

Looks as tho there were some good games of football on the weekend.

Yank down by 3 to Victor, closer than i thought.
Bays over Goolwa, the wheels have come off and a few injuries to key players has really hurt the Maggies.
Strath beating Compass by 5 is a great result by them. Certainly livens up their season.
Mclarens giving Langhornes a good run before going down by 10.
Willunga did the job on Pongy, Hamsy brilliant and Brad Haskett running rampant all day.

1st round of games over, the second half of the season will be exciting. The final 5 still not set with Mclarens and Goolwa sitting just outside the 5. Goolwas run of 5 straight losses has knocked the wind out of their sails, can they turn it around?

Looking forward to our past players day this Sunday at Willunga against Mclaren. As Topher Roberts says 'the older we get, the better we were'.

from what im told hes left.

i dont think the wheels are falling off at goolwa i think we are just beginning to see what most of us predicted. once injuries hit etc. their depth would be tested. they showed with a full side they can match it with some of the best but now also that they have alot of work to do with their 2nd and 3rd tier players.

whats the thoughts LF??
