It was the first time I played Wunkar and I was running towards a Bulldog player with the ball (back when I actually bothered to chase blokes) and Tits came in to lay the shepherd. I landed a good five to 10 metres from where he got me. I guess he was welcoming me to Independent footy.

Probably the second best bump I copped was from another Bulldogs player. But he came out worse for wear from that one.

Biggest bump I've copped was from Nigel Hole last year.
Don't think there was any malice in it, but mind you I didn't see it coming either.
All I remember was waking up and seeing stars!

Biggest hit I've copped was from Mark Wilkey.
Just give me one around the earhole as I went up for a mark.
That one knocked me around a bit!

A bloke weighing easily over 120kgs used to play for Berri (no, wasnt BC before everyone jumps on  ) in about 1998-1999 when Chopper was coaching the Renmark A's got me real good.

Got a hospital ball and i could hear him coming, he never even looked at the ball.

Cant remember his name (1st name Lee maybe?), he should never have been playing a grade, but Berri were REALLY short back then. His brother played too and was a much better player.

Can someone help out?

He always played B's but only a handful of A's.

Your right Ox. Even back then, BC was weighing in a fair bit more than 120kg.

I remember getting you once at Berri when you and my brother were having a little push and shove. You squealed like a little pig. I felt bad after that.

Interesting to note Berri hadn't won the minor premiership since 1991 until this year.

would have to back in the late 70s or early 80s i reckon. they havn't played one in the last 20years. Waikerie has played in every one since 1997.

It's at Loxton, prelim is at North. I'm thinking they're unlikely to win.
It would be a pretty good victory if they could pull it off though.

not sure depends on their injured players, they were competitive up until 3/4 time last time they played. stopping Smith will be the key
BC i think you will find the game is at loxton which will make it tough for them

The Armchair Experts look at the RFL semi-finals, Independent prelim final, Duthie medal preview,
Mallee semi, the Mail Medalist winner and see what Barmera Monash coach Mark Wilden puts his
success down to.

I had a closer look round by round into the Independent competition. Here is how
I see the voting panning out for the Duthie Medal. I might be way off but I might
be close. I had 74 players getting votes.
What do you think?
