...i reckon the lure of getting to play under your old man would be pretty strong.

Smart is heading overseas early in the year and wont be playing at Onkas next season.

think you will find Barkers will slip down the ladder a bit more than expected, had a look at their training on tuesday night and by the looks of things only about 5 walk up starters in the A's were training. rest of them were B graders.
more on mt barkers trouble - the Mcdonald rumor is gaining momentum, apparently the clearance is nearly in the post to another hills club - supposedly being finalized early next week...

I think you will find that mcdonald is to become a mountain devil, was spotted at training tonight with the rest of the goats and fiitted in well with their running programme

If this is true that's a big inclusion would certanly make up fot the loss of Cutting. But on the other hand massive loss to Barker, must be a bit of coin involved. Thought Mt Barker were on the way up after last season.

Mad Harry you make me laugh some of the stuff that comes out your mouth. Are they getting offered some coin and wasn't R Hunter involved in this three man deal?

I heard he was doing a pre season down at Norwood, since Batremutchi left he thought they needed another quality player.

Obviously don't know the politics behind it all but if McDonald pulls on the candy stripes next year that would be a massive blow to the roos. It would not look good on his behalf and stirs up the big debate about players chasing money... Again!!

Under the points system are you a 3 point player if you come from another club in the same league..?

I believe it is only 1 extra point not 2 so in total he would be worth 2 points.

Apparently the forum isnt such a bad place for recruiting just ask the new marion coach and the bloke affiliated with Victoria...

But the marion coach assured me he wouldn't try to recruit our boys? haha

Special One, I don't reckon you're the toughest bloke around the traps, so probably not your topic re. the skins.

From all the times I've played against him he seems like a good bloke, hard at it but will have a beer and a chat afterwards, same kind of mould as Clint Rogers. There must be more to it than money. He just doesn't seem that type of guy. (strictly from an outsiders perception.)

Totally agree with you special one. If go back and read BALLHOG's posts you could stack the crap that spews from his keyboard about as high as the empire state building! Skins these days are nearly a necessity for reducing lactic acid build up and therefore reduces recovery time. Everyone should be wearing them. Then again The hog probably doesn't approach his football in a professional manner....... ;)

How come you don't wear skins Tooting, can't find a pair big enough for those huge hams. ;)
