Not so sure if that is the case as the ladder reads maccy on top and Sunday mail says kersbrook no score. Can anyone at the game confirm?

Correct. I see that the 3 James brothers were back playing with a few quality players still to return too.

In case you weren't aware, clubs or leagues don't ring or fax thru scores to Sunday Mail anymore. The Sunday Mail also uses the SportsTG system so what gets entered online by clubs is exactly what they are using to publish. But clubs have to meet the deadline of 5.30pm or 6pm otherwise its too late for getting published. I assume someone from Kersbrook just overlooked entering their own score or maybe they did but just didn't save it.

Congrats to Josh 'Trout' McGuire on his 250th for Birdwood this week. A great servant of the club and a great achievement.

Bridgewater genuinely struggling or have injuries played a part?

Let's just say we're genuinely struggling as a result of departures and injuries.

Player departures through work transfers interstate and $$$$ offers from other leagues didn't help, but have we've struggled at times to put out two sides this year, often playing up to six lads who are still eligible for senior colts in the A grade team.

Saturday's performance against Nairne was as woeful as we've seen since dropping to Div. 2. Wasn't helped by John McDonald and Ben O'Donnell pulling out before the game, or the call up by Sturt of our three gun youngsters. Still, that doesn't excuse the woeful skills on show.

Hopefully players returning from injury will see an improvement in the second half of the season.

Always makes it tough when players leave. Wish you all the best for the second part of the year.

I see Ironbank have picked up a new ruckman and has been named for today. A chap by the name of Mark Paget transferred from the Western Region Football League in Metro Victoria.
I believe he is around 6ft 5in and played for Goodwood back in 2015. Sounds like a handy pickup.

Game got called off at 3/4 time.

They were just leading by that stage of the game. 130 points was the margin

Nairne seem like they’re starting to get going now after a slowish start. Kersbrook continuing their strong form, Bridgey up and down. Ironbank conisistent.
What are everyone’s half way season predictions?
Nairne v Kersbrook GF for me at this stage.

The top 3 are a fair bit ahead of the other teams and any its very open between those 3. Kerbrook have been the best team we have seen but no side has probably has there full side out on the park yet so we will find out more in the second half of the year. Birdwood are the team that could surprise from outside the top 3 as they are well disciplined and play a great style of team footy as shown when they pumped us earlier this year. The battle for 5th will be interesting, i think bridgey get 5th as they are starting to get back to full strength and just have more talent then gums, maccy and kangy. Gums may be a chance if they focus on the footy rather then pretending there tough by attacking blokes instead as they have some very good players obviously. Meadows have been competitive each week which is positive in a tough year and obviously tv will just want this year to end.
