Heard quigley and callary will play as the coaching staff deemed it to risky with their injuries against ports, so expect both to line up.

Looks like it may be hot and blowing but a long time till sat!
Suprised to see south beat west but that is 3 out of four times this year so no doubt deserved it. They have beaten central last two times so prelim should be a beauty. Centrals unlucky to lose Semi in the end. Good game- my tip Central - any others?
Lions have beaten Port all year in b's i think and should be favourite to do it again as per previous posts but port were clearly better than last few weeks on sat.
Colts should be a good game with the league players back for Lions- very close in Augusta.
If the teams that lost the 1v2 semi games win prelim we will have one from each club in which should make for a good crowd!
Plus the u15s champs from both towns as well is a great initiative i think. Its Port from Pirie, who is it from Augusta?

I must admit the umpiring in Pirie was ordinary to say the least.
I went and watched Sunday also and Westies full forward had his head literally ripped off in front of goal and the arms were waved for play on, it isn't good to see umpires that are having a bearing on results this time of year. Do they use other umpires from outside the league in the GF??

In fairness, not often the umpires have a bearing on results and if you look at all the forums, every league from the AFL to the Iron Knob minis have complaints re umpires!
Quite often its not the ones they give but the ones they dont, sat would have been tough being so in & close, Ports last couple of goals were both from frees so not hard to see why the bloods would be a bit miffed!

Bit rough blaming umpires for centrals loss. In the last few minutes old mate in centrals defence through a number of jumper punches at that bald fella for port (with the mean tattoos) when the ball was out of play, giving away a free-then got lippy giving away a 50 and an easy goal, putting ports within a point. Lack of discipline will always hurt a team in amateur/professional football. And the last goal was a greggy phillips special no umpire influence there! Delicious.

souths to win this week by a kick, shillabeer to have a shot after the siren to win but will hit the top of the left post.

He's good but he's no Burford. In and under isn't his style he's a good user but might want to give underwood a handpass in the forward half next week or there could be blood/tears...

When you can kick 50m both feet like a bullet you dont need to go in there and get it yourself as you are the finisher and should be on the end of the in and under players work.

Gets a lot of clearances from Burford every time i see him! But yes, one of the best double sided footballers about IMHO.

I heard Phillips was miffed that Underwood and his mate Veary drove straight past him and wouldnt pick him up as he walked to the ground last week! Whats the problem, there was only two in the car? No handball from Phillips next week either for Underwood!

Yeah only two in the car but i dont think there's enough room for any more ego with Veary in there. On a side note, good to see Neary runnin around out there missing easy goals again tho

Plenty of talk re coaches up here at present-
Congrats to Duck on his efforts and the way he always held himself with a cool head and he has bowed out with grace. I wish him well.
Butchy no doubt will have a crack and may be auditioning with his efforts in the reserves at present. Not sure Ash Dunkleys shift work will fit with senior coach- would be a great candidate though, knows his footy and coached most of the lads playing to success.
Sollies are advertising for a coach and no doubt Bob will want to go again, but has been notable by his absence at the Semi/maddigan with the cats brethren. Apparently TP is off shift work to straight days so not sure if anything can be read into that?! What if the Colts coach Sawyer goes all the way? I think they will, good luck.
There is talk that Depalma may be coming back to town? Also talk that Mellow may look at Broughton? Could they be in the mix? I suppose most clubs wont announce anything till their season finished.
Any word on if Blinman is going again with the Hawks? There is talk of a succession plan at the Bloods at some point, a win today will surely square off Southies coaching role again and if Ports kept the coach last year after 1 win, the spot would be a safer bet than then!

That is all assuming they want to go again!! Who knows.

Todays game will be a cracker in Port Augusta- cant get there but keen for a wrap up.

Seems a little ironic that everyone was ready to crucify south augusta after the so called dirty play from scott feltus, yet there hasn't been a peep from anyone about the actions of a certain central player who had only one role in the team yesterday; one that he performed to a tee it has to be said. At least scott's focus was actually playing the game, and he was certainly never instructed to go out and target players.

 Get off the weed !! Same fulla that ran off the bench in the GF to try to take out a player off the ball at a centre bounce last year? He was picked for that sh!t man.

....But so was Ray Hayes during his career they say so prob did pick Willo for that reason. (That who yer talkin about? Saw him do a some dirty things saturday.)

Good mate tells me there are a plenty of p!ssed off boys at the Bloods who are looking for out next year. Sick of double standerds - doing hard yards every year and then mates get turkey slapped by Ray when he brings out lazy glory hunters late every season to take there spot. Shame job Jacksons,Wilson, Harris... Great team men hey!! No I in team but there is MEAT and thats how Ray treats his boys!
