Just letting everyone know that the mighty mclaren footy club are starting a website. Yetti we will need to sit down and work out what is going to be in it.

Do any others have any suggestions what should be included into the site??

examples: Club history, life members etc...

Also if anyone has any old photos of the club, even info on past events etc please let me know.

That's great news Moose22 :D

Willunga recently (Last 6 months) revamped their website.
I've had a quick look around it, and it's really quite good !
You might be able to get some ideas from there too O:)

Yes a very good day yesterday at Old Noarlunga.
Young Tom Curtis is fine and was at the pub last night by about ten.
Drinking water of course. Received an accidental knock on the head while on the ground, and heard a crack in his neck. The trainers took utmost care and he was off to hospital for scans and discharged with the all clear.

The Shoes put on a great day for our trial. Both A grade sides had a few out but was a good standard and great to watch.Tom Curtis is fine and as the Yetti said fronted up at the pub after getting out of hospital.Think by midnite his "bump " was alot worse and had the " female patrons " thinking he is superstar !!! Good onya Tommy

You Mclaren people are slipping under the radar a bit IMO. Not a lot said about any recruits and you now have a proven coach with a couple of pretty good assistants so there should be some improvement. I noticed a number of last year's U/17's in the senior side against Noarlunga. Saw Jamie Molling helping out the reserves. Is he going to play or take an active coaching role?

Who have Mclarens recruited? Great work getting Mark Fenoughty back, very composed player and a great addition and is young so can give plenty of years. Assistant Coach Russell Hart can play from all reports, we will find out more Saturday night.

Have we seen Mcqueen? Will be a bit rusty early, been a long time out of the game for Scotty but will be a plus for Mclarens with his pace and can find the ball.

Fill me in Mclaren people.

No signs of Mcqueen BJ. :(

Don't know what is happening with him. His mate Quinny is still out and playing with the B's, he is a good bloke and seems quite happy at Mclarens. He can play too, i reckon there might be an A grade spot for him somewhere down the track cause he is just getting his bearings back after a year, or maybe two off. He seems quite happy down the club, so lets hope he is still persisting with trying to get his mates out.

The other new recruits are Matt Heaney, and a couple of local boys who are finally keen to play a good season, Justin Houston, Scott Walker, Dave Broughton. The rest is made up of Senior colts from last year. Can't wait to see how they shape up to your mob BJ, they are pretty keen, which is a complete turn around from previous years where the young fellas seemed to go missing when we played the likes of Willunga or the Creeks.

Building from within is the way to go if the talent is there. Good to see Broughts up and about, a very good player when hes committed and keen and has been one of our toughest challenges in those times.

As everyone knows theres the weddings this weekend but they wont affect us too much. U play with the side you put on the park and thats what weve got. Hope its a good game Saturday night and we can revive the rivalry with some competitive contests this season and beyond!

I think it is exciting times for Mclaren, dont expect no miracles however it is a really young bunch of lads who are extremely exciting for the opportunity they are getting! Personally i am very excited, full pre season and feel quite good and refreshed aboutfooty, the new coaches have came in not knowing anyone really are letting players have the opportunity to prove themselves, people who have been targetted as B grade footballers are getting another spark from the new breath of fresh air. Could not be any happier with the direction the club is taking, the 2 new coaches are great, committed and very good communicators!
There hasnt been too many recruits however that is what the club wanted, fenoughty will be a spark and an extreme talent, heaney from port noarlunga can play footy has been out of it for a couple years but will show his worth wen the season goes on, the young lads who came up from the 17's are looking great, Erik H, Evan W, Kiefer Z will have a good year in teh A's, also some other younger lads have done the work and will push for their spot!
Hope the year goes well

Yeah teamwork, i don't think he would ever leave Mclaren for another club. He has his whole family involved down there, even the new in-laws, and he's still pretty young so retirement would be out of the question. Fit as **** too. :D

Yea good to hear, I played association footy with him in colts grades then I think he had a year off or didnt give it 100% and played B's first year up in the snr grades.
