Footy Fan when did you last go to your last AGM and see your clubs player payments were zero for the year (assuming you are a member and not just a bloke sitting behind a keyboard jumping on the Centrals recent success). Reckon doggies players are doing it for nothing?
If Berri's committee decide to spend a few bucks in their centenary year, good on them. No reason they shouldnt expect some sort of return on their money.

Goodish win by North on the weekend.
Got over the line against a very determined Renmark side.
Trevor Thorpe was outstanding for the visitors, really kept his team in the game.
He was every where.

The win sets the Panthers up for a late charge at the top four.

Round 2 hopefully he leaves Berri and goes to pursue a SANFL Flag, Berri cant cry foul they did the same thing to Kaniva as what CDFC are doing to them. Paying one bloke $1200/game plus is ridiculous!!!! Just to try to buy a flag in the centenary year!!! BANG!!

I think you need to find out the facts before you start running of at the mouth.
Do you know the reason Sutherland left Kaniva
Also do you know for a fact that ihis math payment is $1200

Sorry for the slight change of angle, but given our bye in the independants this weekend, I've taken the chance to spend a weekend in the Riverland with the other half.

Can anyone recommend any attractions/eateries in the Riverland (we are staying in Lyrup/Berrie region) that would be worth our time to visit.. Particularly any I'm not going to find in the usual touristy brochures. Mrs is in to fine dining.

Well, we're all heading over to Lyrup to find out if it's true now.
If they don't have them, we'll have to ask 'why not?'

I'm having lunch at the Swan Reach Hotel on Sunday. That's always a good spot Timmie!

Come to the Riverland via Morgan and visit Mallyon's, about 15 kilometres east of Morgan.

Then head across the ferry to Waikerie and visit the chocolate shop.

Before heading to Kingston-on-Murray and Banrock Station.

That should make the missus quiet happy.

Or...

After Mallyon's, head another half hour east on the Morgan-Monash road and visit Overland Corner. Good counteries and beers in a fantastic atmosphere.

Sunday brunch could be at Bella Lavender Farm at Winkie, about two minutes off the Sturt Highway. Great food and they're opening a mini golf course this week.

In Renmark there's Kahlon Estate Wines, on Airport Road, Mallee Estate Wines, on the Sturt Highway, and Angoves out the back of Renmark. Ruston's Roses is a good place for a bite to eat - with a cool display of vintage cars.
All of this before you even get to go past Macca's and KFC!
Then to finish off, the Renmark Club, with its fantastic view of the river, is a great place to sit and have a wind down drink.

Good luck Timmy.
