Yes Rhode Island reds easy today . Pathetic really for an Anzac clash , waste of money. Chooks thought they won a grand final wtf , very strange units that lot. Hally has a lot of work to do , having them listen to him for starters. At the huddles everyone doing their thing hall says sweet f all . Can't wait till we get another crack at them they were a shambles from last year. Clayton's big mouth probably cost Mannum 2-3 goal. Having said that green the rotund ump , won the bog, something has to be done he is very bad. Nottle the good old blue nagger was good and the other bloke who know one knows was also shocking . Roos are not top 3 not coaching and playing like that ...!!!

Wow, an Imperial saying that the umpires won us the game? That's a bit rich!

Good to get a win on the board & why wouldn't we be excited. Finally clicked yesterday despite having a couple out and an U17 in the side. 3 things I learnt were

1. As good as Bowen is in the ruck, he got smashed around the oval by Moose Mason. Not hard to read his tap either

2. Jarrad Weyland is back! Best game he has played for a couple seasons & also pushed forward kicking 4 or 5 goals. Great move by the coach to try him there as we have been lacking a good crummer up forward

3. Mannum lost their temper way to often & couldn't keep their mouths shut. Not a good look from guys getting huge $ to be calling umpires useless fat c#*!s, especially with their experience.

Went up yesterday and had a glance. Mannum got f*** over by one little umpire, no doubt about it. they also looked like a team who have only played one game of footy in the last 4 weeks. a bit to work on no doubt.

I'm hoping jervois get up today. i reckon hodgey is due for a big one

Congratulations to Jervois for completing outplaying and out coaching us yesterday. Not sure how they can keep the points however after their timekeeper deliberately pressed the siren with over 5 minutes of time to play. The ball was deep in the our forward line and Jervois did not have a full compliment of the oval. Cant see how they would have hung on if the game went the distance. Can anybody remember something like this ever happening before??

Unbelievable scenes FTO. Can't help but feel we got cheated two points. Jervois had only kicked 1 point and we looked to be surging. Disgusting that something like this can happen in this day and age.

Doesn't sound good? I have seen it once before in a reserves prelim final about 2006. We had 2 people keeping time and both had 50sec left on the clock when the siren blew. Bit of a fiasco but at the time there was absolutely nothing we could do, went down by 10pts so probably didn't make a huge difference.

I recall something happening like that 5-6 years ago in a match at Jervois, but we had to play the extra 7-8mins. Or I had too many ports! Regarding Mannum game. Disappointed. But we copped a few bigger hidings last year and came through ok. Ramblers wanted it more and our boys after a 20 day break weren't up to the pressure. Well played Ramblers.

How exactly do you come to this accusation?? Where you timing (with time on/off etc)? Heard the qtr was over 25minutes long, seems normal enough to me.

The fact that the Imperial timekeeper told me seems pretty good information. I must clarify that I now believe he thought he was doing the right thing but was new to the role and did not realize he had to press time on every time the ball went out of play.

Looking at the teams online, looks like jervois had a hand full of key players missing too?

Don't both clubs time keepers sit together and i assume communicate when time is nearly up . Sounds strange one time keeper can have all the power in regards to when a siren sounds.

Yeh especially when there were three more quarters played before that, was he sleeping for those quarters ? I heard jervois got a good deal with the umps to. But at the end of the day from what I hear imps just took them to lightly with jervois having a few out , and thought they just had to show up to win! The premiership reunions spurred the bluds on and they had the bigger hearts with many injured players putting there hand up to go back on even though they could hardly walk! Henry hodge copped an earful all day and I'm sure was a long drive home! Mannum will come good and will finish top three with meningie and mypo :0

whinge whinge,if imps didnt have a time keeper in the box then i could understand their gripe,BUT as he was in there just as he was the other 3 qts
funny it should happen as your just about to lose by a few points.Get over it jervois were harder in general play all day and deserved the win.O Love bog IMO,IMPS pick your tail up and get on with it you sore losers,as usual pretty quick to shoot from the mouth before you know what you are talking about.BUT thats just the norm here.

Ramblers by 45 Points. Only chance Jervois have of winning is blowing the siren slightly earlier than last week. Maybe do it at half time. cheats
Mannum by 100+ Points
Mypo by 56 Points[/quote]

Wowee Ramrod aren't we in rare form!! extremely gutsy call from behind and alias and the safety of your musty bedroom. Big call throwing the cheats label out at the Jervois players. I wasn't aware that the players had influence over the blowing of the siren? Puzzles me that you have made that call Rammer of Rod. If your special comments aren't directed at the players you have labelled the entire club cheats? Think you'll find that you have a reasonably large growth on your forehead..... Cheese rod

Well Ramrod your tips are ok but keep your slanderous comments about Jervois out of it!!!!! On the outer you obviously have never time kept as you don't stop the clock when the ball goes out of bounds that is only in AFL and this is only RMFL so you need to talk to the Imps timekeeper again and learn how to do it and take over from him as he is tired after 28 years of doing it. By the way the Reunion was a Huge day and Night!!!!!

Sorry bud but the time should stop every time the ump calls on and off. Generally with all the stoppages(ball ups, out of bounds, behinds etc) the over all running time of a quarter is generally somewhere between 28 and 32 minutes.
